I stayed here as part of a very big group of friends who were walking Snowdon, and I would very definitely use this hostel again in future. From the warm, welcoming entry hall with lots of comfortable seating, to the vast but intimate dining room and fully (fully!) equipped kitchen, to the incredibly comfortable beds with fluffy duvet and blanket,...

Just got back from a few wet days in North Wales. The hostel was excellent. The beds were comfy, the showers and bathrooms were clean, the staff were helpful and friendly. The kitchen area was well stocked. Although someone did nick one of our bagels from the shelf!

Very easy to find and in a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and clean, with enough space for everyone's things. The bathrooms were clean and plentiful, and thre was lots of cooking things in the kichen. The main hostel area had nice spaces to hang out in. Overall a really great hostel!

Excellent and friendly staff. The building had a quirky individual feel and catered for the many. It was a delight to meet others over breakfast and then evening time in the lounge. Many thanks again for your great hospitality. We look forward to booking a winter stay. Rob Johnson Expeditions were great hosts for our 6day introduction to navigation, grade...

This hostel lives up to it's tag line as the 5* independent hostel. Classic shabby chic decor, well made sturdy furniture and lovely bedding with Welsh blankets so no need for sleeping bags! Guests can choose from private rooms or shared dorms depending on availability and numbers. Outstanding levels of cleanliness - cleaned daily - with excellent facilities. The self...

Superb in every way, as usual. Very helpful and friendly staff. This trip was made even more enjoyable than usual by a great display from the Wales team on the Friday night and the opportunity to catch up from some late nights earlier in the week - the bunk beds are very comfortable!

We stayed here for 2 nights on a very rainy and stormy July weekend. The hostel is perfect for Snowdonia hiking, the shuttle bus stops 100 yards from the hostel. After abandoning our attempt to get to the top of Mount Snowdon via the Pyg trail for safety reasons, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Plas Curig and used...
