Another excellent weekend stay at the Tyn Y Coed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, very good food and a nice bar to relax after a day in the mountains. Thanks to George, Mark and all the staff.

I have passed this hotel many times but never stopped as it appears a little dull from the outside. However, being unable to find a parking space in Betws Y Coed and with 5 people all wanting lunch we had no option but to try the hotel out. What a surprise we had, warm friendly staff, good beer and an... More

I had eaten many times at the Tyn-y-Coed, but had never stayed. We were not disappointed. Location - unbeatable, with an enticing view of Moel Siabod from the front door. Style - traditional coaching inn, with modernised bedrooms - comfortable and clean. Food - excellent solid post-walking grub, and excellent beer. Staff - friendly to the point of now being... More

I had the absolutely best time staying at the Tyn-y-Coed and especially staying with the Edgar family. Because not only are the surroundings and the views around this place stunning, but more importantly the way you are treated and kindly introduced to the village and the welsh customs was very much outstanding. Never have i felt more welcome outside of... More

Had a very nice couple of days at the hotel. Good value. We were in some of the rooms that had not been refurbished but they were clean and good value. Food was particularly good. Fabulous big breakfasts, great coffee lots of fresh fruit and good choice of cereals and breads that puts much bigger hotels to shame. They prepared... More

The inn is a traditional building but the rooms are well appointed and the bathrooms are modern. The staff were all welcoming, friendly and helpful and the service very attentive. The dinner menu is varied without being over complicated. The helpings were generous and delicious. Breakfasts are also excellent with a wide range of options on offer. There is free... More

Absolutely disgraceful! We arranged a buffet super forv40 adults and children for a price of £15 per adult and £12 per child. We were then presented with 1 sausage, 1 small chicken leg, a tiny sausage roll, a slice of pizza salaf and dessert. All the food was pre bought processed fare of the lowest quality. I complained to the... More

Such an amazing location for walks in Snowdonia National Park. If you love the beach it's not far from Surf Snowdonia or the North Wales coastline. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. You feel that you are in a home away from home!! Great place for families, young couples and groups of friends that want to explore the... More

Nothing can be better than a few days in Snowdonia walking in beautiful scenery and then to relax afterwards in the bar and hotel of this fantastic establishment. If you want to feel at home in Snowdonia, I could really recommend this hotel to anyone. The owners of the hotel are very hospitable and really put in all the efforts to help out. -A converter for, the in my European eyes, strange wall-sockets. -Getting the internet to work. Anything you could think of for the packed lunches. -Getting... More
