Recently it seems Hilton just can't get anything right, and my stay at this property takes the cake. I checked in online and chose a room that I knew had a view and was away from the interstate, so it would be quieter. At check-in I received a completely different room, and that usually means we were upgraded, although the clerk didn't say so at the time. When we got to the room it was obvious that we were downgraded, not upgraded. Our room was the closest to the interstate, so it was noisy, and we looked at the roof of the meeting room area. Yay! Ultimately, I was willing to let that slide but while checking the Hilton app for clues as to why our room was changed I also found that my rate went up by $100. Again, nobody said anything at check-in, and the room had been prepaid more than a month prior. This was also this first time my rate had changed like this, so I was perplexed. I went to the front desk and nobody could tell me why my room or rate had been changed. No surprise there. They did fix my rate, to what it was when I booked it, but no solution was offered for my downgraded room. Fine, I can live with it. An hour later it became clear, as I was sweating through my clothes, that the AC in our room didn't work. I again went to the front desk and they sent a technician to our room. He assured me it was working but took time to cool the room, which I thought was unlikely but I accepted the answer. Three hours later we returned from dinner and the room was the exact same temperature, a warm 78 degrees, to which I once again went to the front desk. We were now moved to another room with working AC at 10pm. Thank goodness they "had a cancellation" because they offered no other option if the room with working AC hadn't been available. All that aside, this property is falling apart at the seams. In typical Hilton fashion the lobby has been remodeled and looks great, everything else is well past its heyday. Nothing works. I am pissed at Hilton for putting guests and the staff in such a predicament. I don't want to be the guy who complains, it's not fun for me and surely not the staff. I feel like the staff did their best under the circumstances but what can they do? Say "I'm sorry" is about it because most of the issues don't have a solution. Hilton needs to remodel the entire property. Until then I suggest future travelers avoid this property. …
Hilton hotels are my preferred hotels. From my view online, I was excited, but upon my arrival, it was a letdown. I was shocked that the organization selected this hotel. I was able to see by its hidden beautify that this hotel was once the place to be. Not anymore, Hilton, you can do better. 😷
They have minimal services. They don’t offer housekeeping services due to Covid. Yet, garbage is laying on the floor outside of guests rooms and piles up near elevators. It’s disgusting & totally unsanitary. I’ve stayed here several times & in my opinion the hotel was cleaner prior to the pandemic. Also, don’t expect room service. You must order any meals through the one bartender they have on staff. How etc the bartender must be covering other tasks because you will be waiting awhile for to place your order.
Furniture, carpet, elevators, worn and dirty. The door to my room was worn dirty and the paneling was separating and warped. Sink was worn and chipped. Bathtub was worn and chipped. Shower curtain had brown stains. Furniture in lobby was visually dirty. Food service was extremely limited.
My family and I had a great time at this hotel, we were traveling with young children, therefore safety was definitely top priority. We felt safe and comfortable. We are so thankful for everyone that made our stay nice and comfortable.
