We went to this hotel only to go to the rooftop bar for drinks and to watch the sunset across the Mississippi. Great views and ambience. Go there! Prices very reasonable and nice comfortable sofas. A lovely buzz. Locals were there too! Easy to find and close to historic area and waterfront.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us! It sounds like you had a chance to enjoy all of the wonderful things that make this hotel so great. Twilight is a great bar. We hope that you plan to stay with us during your next visit to Memphis!

I can only surmise that the AAA rating indicates that the hotel has certain amenities, but no qualitative measure. Our stay was marred by several missteps that left me wondering why I would ever return. First, my room rate declined from the time of our booking, but since you are charged several days prior to arrival, there is no way...

I appreciate your feedback and candid remarks. I will address your In-Room Dining concerns with the F&B Director. Your experience is certainly not how I expect room service to be presented. I am sorry that the music from Twilight Sky Terrace disrupted your sleep. We certainly should have lowered the volume if your were disturbed by it. I agree that...

Staff at the front desk, Cortez in valet, the restaurant, all work very hard to do the little things to make your stay successful. There is excellent wi fi and speakers that hook up to your I Phone. The sheets and bed and showers are all excellent. The food in the restaurant is some of the best I have ever...

We only spent one night in Memphis but wish we had had more time. The Madison far exceeded our expectations. From the valet to the front desk to the rooftop bar, the service was excellent. The hotel itself is beautiful. Our room was small but very nice. Would love to go back soon!

Located in downtown with great rooms, excellent staff and views of the river from the rooftop lounge. Perfect location for a launching point to destinations in and around Memphis. Junior King is worth the few extra dollars, very spacious, comfortable beds, large bathroom en-suite and plenty of hot water. Walking distance to restaurants, Beale St. Courthouse, riverfront, ballpark, etc. Views...

Great location close to Beale street and the Memphis pyramid. Only short drive to Graceland. Hotel was excellent and staff were helpful. They also have a roof top bar but unfortunately it rained so we couldn't visit this but they have an excellent downstairs bar and restaurant too. Alex & Ray, England.

As one of the other reviewers wrote this cannot be considered a boutique hotel - certainly not luxury boutique hotel . Pluses are friendly staff in reception ( and they gave me an early check in ) and roof terrace with amazing view over the bridges and Mississippi River . Also nice food and good service in their restaurant ....

Thank you for the nice comments about the staff and about our rooftop - Twilight Sky Terrace. I am sincerely sorry that you were awakened by other guests and by a staff radio. They should have had the headset on and we will address that issue. I also agree that a Service Elevator would be beneficial. Unfortunately, we choose to...

The Madison was a lovely place to stay during my first trip to Memphis. It was a great home base to walk around and explore the city, and very close to the waterfront. Our room was large, the bed very comfortable, and we loved the high ceilings. It still has some of the feel and history of it's original bank...

My first picture shows an air vent that clearly has not been cleaned in years. This causes concern, because it probably means that the daily cleanings are not focused on important details. Another important detail is that the shower pane is way too small, as shown in the second picture. You have to turn the shower head so that half...

I will pass on your kind comments about the doorman. I am sorry about the bathroom jet experience - the jets should be turned on everytime the bathtub is cleaned. I will share you comments with the Housekeeping Leadership team. Thank you for making me aware of the issue. Sincerely, Angie Hines General Manager
