We just stopped by today by chance looking for a break on a long drive and food - what a lucky find! Lovely beer garden but said no dogs which was a problem but staff quickly offered alternative outdoor seating and a big welcome. Food was fantastic and well worth the price. Every single member of staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful - thank you

My wife and I stayed here this weekend and I can’t rate it highly enough. Great staff, nicely decorated, comfortable room and our meal in the brasserie was the best we have had this year. Highly recommended

Just had the most amazing takeaway. We ordered a Stake baguette each & a portion of chips & onion rings each. We still have a portion of chips & onion rings left! Big portions & the best onion rings Iv ever had . Looking forward to having the other portions for dinner tomorrow. Highly recommend. We will definitely be ordering again

Room Tip: Was a bit shocked at the price of a takeaway, don’t let that put you of, it’s worth every penny...

Ok the positives my evening meal was great but a bit pricey but its in the middle of the summer season, the staff were very friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel. Now the bad, I was in a single room which are located at the upper floor and in the eves of the hotel, in 6'4 and struggled to move around the roo without bumping my head, the bathroom door has actually been cut down and I had to duck to get into the room. I contacted the hotel before to ask if they had and single rooms that are not in the the eves but they dont so if your tall my may struggle. My room was at the end of the building and when having a shower the water went off, completely off. I was told that it happens if too many people have a shower at the same time. I'm sorry but a modern day hotel should not that sort of problem no matter what star of hotel it is. Luckily the water was ok at 5.30am the next day.

A little harsh Gerry You booked a small single room and requested an upgrade as you are a tall man and you had read the room description advising slanted ceiling (attic room) this being our cheapest room. I advised this was not possible as we were fully booked but asked if you wanted to cancel free of charge and book somewhere else more comfortable for you - you declined. There was an issue with your shower valve and I apologised for this to you, got the shower working immediately for you, tested it, came to the bar and apologised and offered to buy you a couple of drinks. You declined. You then declined breakfast for an early start. It wasn't great I admit - but at every step I offered you help and you declined. You can take a horse to water but ................................... Keep smiling Gerry - the world is a happy place really and especially here we like to think. Cheers Grumpy Landlord
