What a great restaurant. So accommodating when we turned up on the wrong evening. We ate there three times and every time the meal was superb. We never used the service, but saw many takeaways being carried out.

What can I say , the Old Library Lodge and Restaurant was a joy to stay at. A very friendly welcome . i was taken to our room which was just perfect everything you want . A large room .clean little added touches tablet all made an excellent first impression. An added bonus of a patio sitting area at the room great . we had booked in for dinner and we were not disappointed . I had local scallops to start followed by rack of lamb all cooked to perfection . My hubby had tomato soup and haddock which he enjoyed . The service was excellent . Breakfast the next morning was all local produce well cooked and set you up for the day . If you want to visit a stunning part of Scotland and stay in accommodation where you are greeted with a warm welcome excellent food and a stunning vista this is the place for you . We will defiantly return .

Food was out of this world. Specials board also. Between the 5 of us couldn’t fault anything - everything beautifully cooked and service excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and full coved measures in place. Produce all fresh and local. Would recommend and return.

First phoned to book to stay but they couldn't accommodate me so in typically kind West coast folk way David suggested another place. When I came to eat here they remembered me and the phone call without prompting and David came to introduce himself. The food was wonderful. I had the scallops and wanted to lick the plate clean. The rack of lamb was delicious and I'm not ashamed to say that I licked the bones clean. An unexpected highlight was the music. It just added to the whole experience and actually made me emotional in a good way! Friendly and welcoming staff and chatting to Penny afterwards was lovely too. No wonder they are busy so make sure you book and enjoy this great place. It's a find and worth a visit. Thank you one and all for a great meal and a great night.
