We had the pleasure of recently spending an idyllic weekend at Pine Trees in ‘River View’ their S Pod. On arrival we were met by Graham at Reception who was really helpful, showing us where our accommodation was located. River View is a wonderful self-contained unit with an ensuite shower, microwave, small stove, fridge and TV, with views across the river, (which you can pan for gold in) and was very clean and tidy. Despite being very busy, the site was very quiet and sitting on the balcony you wouldn't know there was a bustling camping site behind you. All the staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble to do. Pine Trees is ideally situated with easy links to Fort William, Oban and Glasgow by road or rail. The site itself is very well maintained and kept very tidy and free from litter. As well as the Pod, there are Hiker Huts that can be rented as well as plenty of serviced pitches for Caravans and Tourers. There is a central toilet and shower block if needed, plus a laundry room which, as with the rest of the site, spotlessly clean. Within 10 minutes walk there is a wonderful pub, which we visited, but if this is not to your liking there are a few other places to choose from to eat. I would highly recommend Pine Trees and will definitely be back for another visit…
We loved our stay. The campsite team were superb and really made our kids feel so welcome and delivered on the red squirrel promise! There is a nice blend of repeat/ new campers. I especially loved that the ‘resident’ campers made us welcome and invited us for drinks and convo. There was a real nice community spirit on camp! Keep it lit 👍👏😀
Booked into the site as our first stop on a 10 day Motorhome holiday. Lovely site with all facilities available. Nice walk up to The Green Welly and lovely meal at Tyndrum Inn. We had a nice stop at this site with the only complaint the rowdy noise from play park up to 2330hrs when I’d had enough. Seemed to be a lot of folk on site that new each other which perhaps led to a late night party despite reminders about noise on the site guide. Apart from that issue lovely site for our first night stop.
We arrived on Monday 14th June and were greeted by the reception staff who were very friendly and helpful. We were directed to the River View Lodge which is a self contained camping pod. It had a shower, fridge, microwave, kettle and stove etc. It was clean and tidy. The overall holiday was lovely. Tyndrum is a quiet little town where you can go walking, mountain biking and exploring. You can even try your hand at gold panning on the camp site. It has a pub a few restaurants and two local shops with a gift shop. We would definitely recommend Pine Trees Caravan and Leisure Park.
This is a great place to stop over for a few days on your travels up North! The people here are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the facilities are absolutely spotless (there's also wifi, which is pretty rare:). Further, there's a great wee shop to get whatever you're needing, and the Green Welly Boot is just a few minutes walk away. As a new campervan owner, I was still getting to grips with the basics, and the staff (particularly George) were incredibly helpful, taking time to explain bits and pieces and giving some sage advice in the process! The feel of the site was laid-back and people were incredibly friendly all round. Highly recommend!
