Room was adequate, nearly fell out of the bed due to being a single. A dead daddy long legs was lying beside the lamp. A wee spider was also crawling about the ceiling but they never charged me extra for it. Can view the TV from the toilet pan which is a bonus. Breakfast in the morning was a bit of a let down. Not much cooked left was available despite alerting the member of staff (who was wearing red socks). Only brought out more Sausages. Wouldn't be happy about paying £10 for a bowl of Coco Pops. Bought a Twirl from the Vending Machine which was previously melted it seems. WiFI was poor. The Bar area is large and comfortable however. Not the greatest of places but certainly not the worst.

The hotel is in 2 buildings on opposite sides of the road. I booked for the Doran but was sent to the other one. Accommodation was scarce when i booked. Pros × location x nearby cafes and pubs X walks X warm and mostly clean X parking etc as per their website X good variety of hot and cold breakfast food (eggs, sausage, bacon, toms, mush, beans, hash browns, bakery items. Coffee and tea to order. The hot food isnt self serve. I perhaps wouldnt order it again tho. X multi lingual staff clearly useful..all staff i encounted european Cons X paper thin walls. I could hear people talking and showering etc in the next room. X the shower glass doesnt retain the water..my floor flooded X full of bus loads of european tourists who were very loud and rude (not the hotels fault) X yes

The hotel is probably an old building which was refurbished, althought the refurbisment is proabbly almost vintage itself. Not the most confortable or glamourous hotel, but it has some Overlook Hotel appeal. The upper floor hosts the breakfast room and an astonishing lounge with a bar and a very large sitting area with couches with brocade impression.
