We are coming in this hostels for years and we were never dissapointed! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the give you a warm welcome. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. Breakfast and dinner offer a great choice of regional products. Everything tastes fantastic. The self - catering kitchen is big, well equipped and clean. I like the...

I stayed at Rowardennan Lodge two nights as I walked south on the WHW. It was certainly a welcomed rest spot after a few days of solid walking. I thoroughly enjoyed the beach to go swimming from and the peer to sit on an dangle my sore feet from into the cool and soothing water below. This was all made...

I stayed here over New Year. It was a spectacular location. The hostel was very good and provided everything required. It was clean and the kitchen was fully fitted. The setting was amazing. I would definitely recommend and go back.

Really impressive hostel. I would have slept anywhere that night as it was the first day of the west Highland way and we'd been walking for 12 hours! We booked this hostel because it was nice and cheap but actually I was very impressed with the value for money! Clean, comfortable rooms, plenty of clean, warm showers and good kitchen...

A modern, cozy hostel with lovely staff. Breakfast can be booked for a charge and there is also a self catering kitchen. What I liked most about this hostel was it's location: It's right on the shores of Loch Lomond with a breathtaking view. Would definitely stay again.

A clean, modern hostel in a beautiful location. The building is gorgeous and right on Loch Lomond. From the common room you can sit in a cozy seat and look out at the lake and munros. Staff were kind and there are local beers available for purchase at the desk. My favorite place I stayed for my West Highlands Way...

Comfortable and a great location. Food was good and the staff were very pleasant. Rooms are cramped but the living room is large with a great view. We had good weather so I can't comment on drying rooms etc. I found everyone walking the West Highland Way very friendly and I ended up playing Uno with a very multicultural group...

Stayed here with a friend after an incredibly wet day on the West Highland Way. It was so crowded, so I've got nothing but praise for the staff for helping us with every inquiry. We stayed in a 6 bed female dorm, which was quite crowded with everyone's bags, but seeing as it's just for one night that wasn't really...

Amazing lochside location. Huge, spotless self-catering kitchen with all necessary amenities, and the breakfast/packed lunch provided were both good. Lovely big lounge with huge windows overlooking the loch and plenty of sofas. Dorm rooms are a little cramped, not a lot of storage space for the rucksacks everybody is no doubt carrying to get here, but the beds are comfy...

We were part of a large party of three families climbing Ben Lomond and then staying overnight at the hostel. The location is probably one of the best SYH locations in Scotland and the facilities, staff friendliness and cleanliness were all good. No complaints other than the quality of dinner we had on the evening which was really bad (combo...

Rowardennan Lodge is set on the banks of Loch Lomond at the base of Ben Lomond. The West Highland Way passes directly past its front door making it an ideal stop along the way. The youth hostel is accessible by car and on foot as well as via the Loch Lomond Waterbus which operates direct from the hostel. Wi-Fi during your stay: We do our best to deliver a free Wi-Fi service but apologise that connectivity, particularly in our rural locations, can be intermittent due to the level of our current broadband provision along with high usage when the youth hostel is busy.
