Lisa is a treasure. We were walking the West Highland Way so were on foot. No worries. She picked us up in town and drove us to her lovely home. She asked if we'd like to return to town for dinner. Our room was very comfortable and there is a nice sitting room for guests. Breakfast was delicious. Lisa really...

I must admit we didn't read any reviews before booking Green Shadows near Drymen. Now reading reviews from other travellers I am not surprised by the experience we had staying at Green Shadows. Gail/Lisa (she seems to use two different names) certainly has a beautiful establishment and indeed runs a tight ship. It seems if you stick to her plan...

This is the second time I have stayed with Gail while walking the West Highland Way. This was our second night. While Greenshadows is out of Drymen, Gail will pick you up when you finish walking and if you need to go back to the village to eat will take you back and collect you. She also takes you to...

This was a good B&B in a lovely location outside the village. I was walking the West Highland Way and the land lady helpfully picked me and two other guests up from the village centre and drove us in later for supper (and back) and then up to the WHW start point next morning. The room at the B&B was...

Beautiful setting overlooking the local golf course . Host , Gail , runs a very tight ship . Very efficient at collecting guests and returning them into town to have a meal . Water pressure in shower upstairs is really pathetic and the room was very cramped . None the less we all had a pleasant experience and she dose...

"I normally don't take weddings!" this was our greeting upon arrival at Green Shadows. Maybe our landlady has had some bad experiences in the past but although we came for a joyful event, for her it was the contrary. She seemed awfully stressed by the fact that we wanted access our rooms even in the middle of day! Mind you...

We stayed here as we were hiking the West Highland Way. The owner seemed to have her system down and managed picking us up and driving us back into town for dinner then doing it all over again. Their home was beautifully situated overlooking a gorgeous golf course. Our room, although cramped, was comfortable and clean. We had plenty of...

A very pleasant stopover on the West Highland Way in attractive surroundings overlooking a golf course. The dynamic Gail Goodwin takes no prisoners as she collects her residents from the centre of Drymen and drives them back into the village for dinner at one of the pubs/restaurants. A power shower would be good but a fine establishment. Delicious breakfast.

Green Shadows is a very smart and comfortable B&B. Comfortable beds in a lovely en suite room with a very nice view, in a beautiful and quiet place in the middle of the countryside. A lovely refined house, a freshly prepared and generous breakfast. To top it all, we felt very welcome; our host was warm, friendly and kind-hearted. She...
