Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Only stayed here for one night as a stopover before heading further north. Our room was basic but very spacious and clean. Large public (free) car park directly opposite for parking. Unfortunately we had to leave early before breakfast started at 9am, but we grabbed breakfast rolls from Wizgonies takeaway cafe next door. Would be good if breakfast started at 8am really, but otherwise can’t complain.

We booked 2 rooms for 4 friends for a recent golf trip to the area. The rooms were only £35pp which I though was a great deal. The rooms we big and modern. No complaints. We paid for breakfast in the morning and it was fine. Would definitely return.

Clean, tidy and quiet room. Nice bathroom. Nice bar downstairs with a couple of TVs showing sports.Breakfast not included and a bit pricey but it was nice. Big free car park across the road though I'm not sure if it's free all year. Didn't do food in the evening through the week but it was February when we stayed. Right on the Main Street and easy to find, great position. All the staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

My husband and I decided on a last minute night away for my birthday. We were surprised to find hardly any availability so jumped at the twin room here. To be honest for the price we were not expecting much- wow what a surprise! Lovely hotel, fab room with plenty space and amazing food. We spent a lazy afternoon in the lounge bar with a few drinks. Dinner was in the lovely restaurant where the choice was extensive with very reasonable prices. We both loved our meals and the staff were super friendly. We then retired to the bar which was busy with locals, who were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Sunday was a late start with a first class Scottish breakfast. All in all a great place to stay with great facilities, amazing food, friendly staff and lovely

Arrived early and went to the inn to tell them we had arrived in Balloch, we were offered the chance to check in straight away (which we did). Returning to the bar we spoke with the staff about the area and were given a very comprehensive guide to what where to go and what to see. The place we were sent was Loch Lomond to take a cruise, which although a cold day was excellent along with the tales told by the crew about the sights around the Loch. We got up the next morning to a great choice of breakfast(s). Although we only stayed for one night the stay was a great way to start our trip to Scotland.

Stopped here last Sunday for a late breakfast/early lunch. We were made very welcome and the waitress provided both breakfast and lunch menus. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was brilliant. The ladies who work there did their utmost to ensure that guests were made comfortable. If you are in the area I would recommend you visit. Food was lovely and fresh and the prices are very reasonable

This hotel is in the perfect location. Walking distance to train station, National Park, Marina, shops, bars and restaurants. Everything is close by. The Inn is a great place, very clean rooms, great service and very friendly staff. We were offered and enjoyed a good hearty breakfast. Bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Excellent and very clean bathroom with good water pressure. This is the place to stay when visiting Balloch.

We stayed 1 night and from arrival to departure, had no issues whatsoever. Staff were polite, friendly, helpful and the room was superb. Basic, but lovely. We had an evening meal and breakfast and have to say that the chef provided excellent food. It was truly delicious and the breakfast was one of the best we've had. The lounge bar on the Saturday evening was busy, busy but that helped to create a super atmosphere. The hotel is located in a very central part of Balloch

I'm writing this review extremely late, as my husband and I stayed here in September 2016 while hiking the John Muir Way. The accommodations were extremely nice, well-furnished and spacious. Breakfast in the morning came with great service and was extremely prompt - helpful when we had to be out early for the next portion of the hike. Additionally, the staff was more than willing to assist with baggage, as we had a service moving our larger luggage from place to place. All around a great stay and the staff made us feel welcome with their superior service.
