We stayed three nights here whilst up for a wedding. The hotel is really well located on the loch side and has excellent views of The Cobbler and the Arrochar Alps; an excellent base for a bit of munro bagging. The rooms are well appointed, clean and sizable. The breakfasts are also sizable, so it's a good job the mountains...

We have previously stayed here, and eaten here, including one instance in 2014 when the staff pulled out all the stops to give us a really good meal when we were late back because of a delayed train. Such a disappointment then this New Year's Eve, to be faced with a situation in which the food was, in the case...

Stayed here in December 2016 for 2 nights. Staff were some of the most friendly and welcoming people I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. Breakfast was fantastic and an evening meal was good too. Great view at the front of the Inn and in a very picturesque location. Room was a great size and well heated. Only reason...

Four of us were staying at a nearby hotel and ventured out for a walk in the rain late one morning. As the torrent got worse, we stumbled across the Village Inn just at the right moment. We went in and were greeted by the landlord, an incredibly pleasant gentleman. He welcomed us, made us some lovely hot drinks (including...

We stayed in Ardgartan which is just over the road from this restaurant. We found it on accident when attempting to turn to go to a previous pub. The food was amazing with great vegetarian options. Every course (we had 3) was brilliant and there was a good selection of drinks too. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, so...

Great wee hotel. We didn't stay the night, but popped in for some dinner. We got given a lovely table in one of their cosy rooms. The atmosphere was great, with candles on all the tables and a big fire burning. The food was lovely and came in a good portion size. I got the balmoral chicken which was different...

Great Location with great views. Rooms OK beds clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean although the shower dripped which was annoying especially at night. The food in the restaurant was good and portions very good. Recommend the Haggis. The full Scottish Breakfast is not for the faint hearted!! It's huge!

Great pub, nice meals, nice room looking out over the carpark and out to the loch, but service a bit hit or miss (e.g. ordered a bottle of wine with dinner which was just left on the table, not opened, not poured ... on both nights we ate there!). This is a lovely wee place, really cosy and mostly welcoming,...
