Stayed 1 night. Location is good , breakfast was good but for price paid the room was disappointing. It was spacious enough but although 'recently improved' there was a leak somewhere which was causing a damp patch at the side of one of the beds. The manager thought this was just a spill but this wasn’t the case as it was still very wet the next day even though we had used 5 towels to try to dry it. - you could smell the damp when you entered. The bathroom hadn’t been included in the update and had areas of age including the airer that was stuck to the wall with masking tape.

Enjoyable stay after a bad start of being given a room that was filthy but that more down to previous occupants room 225 But on returning to reception was given a different room on first floor, this room was exceptionally clean.we stayed for 3 nights with breakfasts and evening meals. The good was a fairly decent standard only complaint really was portion size of the pork dinner, was definitely a children’s portion. Choice of a meat fish or veggie dish eat night with starters and desserts that were all nice Would definitely recommend for location

Very dated hotel, long que to check in as check in is not computerised. Sofa in the reception looks dirty. Lovely view of the lake from our room but we were directly above the beer garden so couldn’t keep the curtain open as the 15 people there had a full view of our room. Especially since there was no transparent under layer curtain. No fan or air condition and since it was a hot day, and we had to leave the window open, the noise from the beer garden was loud till late evening. A motor bikers joint. Very pricy for the facilities.
