    just returned from a 4 day break with national holidays to this lovely hotel. a lot of improvements has been made since our visit.all new carpets down stairs what use to be the concert room is now a lovely large lounge even has a pool...More

    You Leave Sunderland at around 8.30 pick up at Gateshead and Newcastle, stops at either Gretna or Moffat then on to the Claymore around 4pm, the driver is not allowed to check in to the hotel before 3.30

    I would expect that due to the time of year there may well be snow about. There is lots of walking/hiking if that's what you like to do. Beautiful area.

    Sorry, no swimming pool - but the Loch is straight across the road! Tends to be a bit chilly though :] .
