We went over on the bike for a wee run as it was a beautiful day. Rothesay was very busy as there was a cycle race on so we ventured out of town and came across the Kingarth. Nice and clean with pleasant bar staff. We ordered a coke and a glass of wine which arrived quickly and our food...

A quick stop by for a light Saturday lunch - the place initially looked a bit closed as we passed by on the road from Kilcreggan Bay but it was most definitely open! We rounded the corner to find an outside seating area in the sunshine, and three of us enjoyed a light lunch (two on fish dishes, one on...

After a week in London, which we found expensive, the prices here for food and drink much more reasonable. Food was good and the atmosphere cosy and friendly. If you stay down this end of Bute and don't want to go to Rothesay, the pub here is ideal.

Stayed at nearby Kilchattan Bay, and visited the inn three times and would have been four if the weather hadn't sent us home early! Very welcoming and exceptionally good food at very reasonable prices. Fish dishes are highly recommended. Hope to be back before too long!

We went with a group of friends who were travelling together but trying to stay on individual budgets. The staff were very helpful in letting us split the bills several ways right from the start to save us trying to work it out afterwards and also with various couples deciding to share starters or deserts between them. Some of our...

Stopped here for lunch while on Bute, came across by chance, Good menu and very good staff. One little gripe having to pay separately for a small portion of vegetables. If we are in the area again would not hesitate to go again

We had a superb seafood meal at a really more than reasonable price! Service was friendly, kind and fast; after lunch we were so comfortable that we stayed 2 hours more playing the pool! Unfortunately we cannot rate the Hotel, since we stayed there only for lunch. Will come back for sure if again in the wonderful Bute

We visited The Kingarth Hotel for a meal as we had been there 5 years previous and remembered how enjoyable it was. We cannot review the Kingarth on it's bedrooms as we only ate there. My family and I (myself, my husband and our children, aged 11 and 8) really enjoyed our meal at The Kingarth. The staff were extremely...
