Christine made our stay at this charming 1500's guest house exceptional. Her knowledge of Celiac Disease meant I could completely relax and devour everything she prepared for my breakfast -a GF bagel with locally smoked salmon and cream cheese- and our very generous lunch. The...More

Stayed here for one night. Location is certainly traditional, a bit creaky and low ceilings, but this comes with the character and history of the building. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. However show was very noisy. Breakfast is continental only, and...More

Four of us stayed here whilst cycling route 78 - Caledonia Way. Christine is the most incredible host. Stored our bikes, was waiting with lemon iced water and arranged for Dave from Brander Lodge to pick us up for dinner. She really looked after us...More

About
Description
The Taynuilt Guest House, offering comfortable good value, roadside bed & breakfast accommodation, is ideally situated on the ancient "road to the isles," close to Oban and the ferries to the Inner Hebrides & More beyond. This building has for centuries been a staging post for travellers along this route. Nestling at the foot of Ben Cruachan, between Loch Etive & Loch Awe, in an area of outstanding natural beauty and steeped in history, the Taynuilt Guesthouse, with modern facilities and fine hospitality is a perfect choice for your stay on the West Coast of Argyll. We serve a hearty continental breakfast between 8-930am and can offer "breakfast to go" for early starts. We can also prepare packed lunches if given at least 12 hours notice. There are several good eating places within 3-7 miles of the guest house and a good local shop open until 8pm every night. Please note that we do not serve evening meals or have a bar on site. Less
