Returning to the area where I was brought up, to visit elderly parents, we stayed for one night at The Corran. I remember it as Dr Jeffrey's house and surgery. Jamie and Sandra made us most welcome and could not have done more to make our short stay very pleasant. A large warm room with good bed and en-suite along...

We stayed in the cottage next to the house because we have a dog. Booked for 3 nights, left after 2 and that was two too many. The light in the kitchen didn't work - the girl said she knew it was broken when we asked for a light bulb. Stair lights didn't work the first night but they were...

The B and B is a beautiful house, with a lovely garden and outlook very close to the canal. The room was spacious and clean, however, the ensuite bathroom was tired and the extractor fan and shower was very noisy. The cooked breakfast was tasty. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

This B & B is alongside the A38 adjacent to a mini roundabout. The traffic noise is not too bad considering there is no double glazing but nevertheless I would choose a room at the back to get the better views of the Loch. This B & B was previously a doctors house and is a grand looking property the...

This B&B is 4 star according to the Scottish Tourist Board and so should have been one of the best B&B's I have stayed at during my walk around Britain. Sadly I was very disappointed but my issues will hopefully be easily fixed judging by most reviews by other visitors. The building, grounds and gardens and fittings / decor are...

This lovely old doctor's house now converted to a B & B has lovely ensuite rooms, with comfy beds. If you are lucky enough to have room overlooking the Loch, what a view. The gardens are beautifully maintained and a real pleasure to relax in during fine weather. Always a warm welcome and great breakfast to be had. Stay and...

Our room was huge as was the bathroom - like a private apartment, so quiet. Mary Anne is very professional - good welcome, dining advice and prefect breakfast - and by this time, we'd had a few! Little extra was bottles of water, much appreciated.

Great location and beautiful rambling old Doctors house, magnificent wooden staircase, lovely big comfortable rooms. Very pleasant host, good breakfast! Great views over garden and surrounding area, lots of birdlife to watch. Very interesting area near canal and unique swing bridge. Look for birds roosting on mudflats in evenings See if you can spot an otter in the river in...

Drive off the Oban/Campbeltown roundabout into easy parking at rear. Welcoming host. Very comfortable en suite rooms. Excellent view down loch at front. Good juice, fruit and cereal selection plus well cooked Scottish breakfast. Beware the very strong coffee!

Stayed 2 nights in this very large house just outside Lochgilphead, right on a roundabout, and not particularly to get in with a large car. The entrance hall was graced with a life-size model of a warthog, not the most welcoming of creatures! Other African artifacts were dotted around the house, which was idiosyncratic, if nothing else. Our room on...
