My partner and I stayed here last Sunday night to break up our journey to Oban for an early ferry on the Monday morning. We booked last minute and decided to stay here as it is dog friendly, the rooms looked lovely online and it was at a great price. We were not disappointed. The room was great, the décor...

We recently decided to visit Scotland and we're staying in a hotel nearby. We took out for an afternoons walk and due to a late afternoon shower we took refuge in the village pub. Obviously recently refurbished this place is beautiful. Lovely tap beers my other half had a glass of wine. Lovely atmosphere and as we saw also dog...

Where to start myself and my partner run a hospitality business in the local area and have been meaning to venture down to the Kilchrennan Inn for some time, we now wish we had made it sooner. The service and welcome we received was second to none and the decor was absolutely stunning, a nice eclectic mix of modern and...

Only three rooms but fitted to a very high standard. Almost in the middle of nowhere but only a short drive from Oban. Recently refitted and under the management of a young but highly skilled couple. We visited on the recommendation of our daughter and were not disappointed, we will be going back in the winter for another break.

beautifully refurbished and extremely friendly staff, the food was excellent, served hot and cooked to order, I do feel the 'side dishes' such as new potatoes or broccoli or just a leafy salad are a touch over priced, but I wouldn't hesitate to return.

I couldn't praise this establishment enough. For a start, the staff were welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. We stayed in the family room, which was more than adequate for the two of us. It was clean and well laid out. Dinner was tasty and well presented. The breakfast was also tasty and lasted us well into teatime before we...

Stumbled on the Kilchrenan while looking for one night's stop en route to Isle of Skye - and will definitely go back. Beautifully refurbished, good food, properly dog friendly + welcoming, relaxed vibes. Great for us as dog was allowed in (comfortable and stylish) en suite bedroom and made to feel welcome when we had dinner and drinks at the...

Nicely decorated, welcoming, friendly, young enthusiastic owners. Food served was to a high quality. Next time we visit will be an overnight stop on the way back from the West Coast. Can't wait. Tried to book in before then but understandably booked up. Good luck with your venture.

We booked for one night as a chill and we were not disappointed. The accommodation was fantastic, so stylish. Food and bar wonderful. We had a lovely meal and very reasonably priced. Also lovely touch was a bottle of fizz for my husband's birthday. Much appreciated. Great walks nearby. We had a lovely time. This is was our second visit...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Kilchrenan Inn is located in the heart of the small peaceful West Highland Village of Kilchrenan near the end of the B485, and approximately half a mile from the north westerly shores of the beautiful Loch Awe, Scotland's longest loch. The village of Kilchrenan is situated at the foot of the Munro, Ben Cruachan, close to Loch Awe in Argyll and Bute and on what is known as the, The Caledonia Way, National Route 78 of the National Cycle Network, which runs from Campbeltown to Inverness. This cycle route offers a variety of cycling, from challenging on-road hills to lengthy sections of traffic-free path through the spectacular scenery of the West Coast of Scotland. Loch Awe is popular for fishing with an abundance of trout and pike. About six miles north of Kilchrenan, via the B845 and lovely Glen Nant, is the larger village of Taynuilt sitting astride the A85 Glasgow to Oban road, close to the shores of Loch Etive. Kilchrenan Inn will be the ideal location to stay, to eat, relax and soak in the wonderful Scottish atmosphere in front of our wood burning stove. From the moment you pull up outside and then enter the Inn you will know that you are about to experience something completely unique and different. ... more   less
