We stayed in cabin 4. It was very comfortable. We slept really well. The food was good. The female staff was very pleasant and kind! Remember, this is a cabin, not a 5 star hotel. We had plenty of hot water, although we had some trouble figuring out how to turn it on. Putting the coin through the slot for...

We stayed in one of their log cabins. The cabin we were in is for six people. It was very spacious, the furniture was excellent with reclining couches - a two seater and a three seater. They were so good it made me wish I had one at home! The kitchen area and table with stools was great too. It...

Visiting Braemar for the weekend and staying in Caravan site my husband and I had dinner here on a Sunday night. Love newly decorated restaurant which was a surprise as old one was getting a bit tired though food was good then too. Cullen skink and Haggis Bon bons followed by Roast dinner and Salmon then espressos ... All excellent...

This is a pleasant little hotel with a nice new dining room. The food was good if a little pricey but the dining room staff were very attentive. Beware the price of alcohol which slightly spoiled the night.

Just on driving holiday in area. Didn't realise Braemar was such a tiny place. All B&Bs booked and we were too tired to carry on so tried Braemar Lodge. They had one cabin left fortunately. Cabins are spacious, clean and close to main house. Had a lovely evening meal there and it has a nice cosy bar too. Everything you need...

Ate here with a large group of friends whilst staying in Braemar over the Bank Holiday weekend (English) where we'd pre-booked. We all had a drink in the front bar first. They don't have any real ales on pump which is a shame but they do have a range of Scottish bottled ales which were nice although expensive. From my...

We arrived late, around midnight, yet the owner stayed up and waited for us. He was further very accommodating by cooking breakfast for my two friends and myself at 7am then giving us a run 6 miles to the start of a walk. Next time up Braemar way will defo stay here if I can.

Firstly the waiting staff were very sweet, but Im afraid the waitress we had at our table was very inexperienced. Part of the meal was great but the other was part was inedible. Don't bother complaining as I was shouted at by the manager for doing so (Not really the experience you want to encounter when you are 6 months...

Firstly you and your 3 friends came in to the Hotel and all seemed fine Then it all changed when the waitress was giving you the menus she told you we had run out of Lamb Shank,(with a busy Restaurant 80 - 100 meals per night this can happen) your attitude changed demanding to know why you were not told...

The location of the hotel is great. However the restaurant, bar and lobby needs some refurbishment. The welcome by the owner was rather cold and unpolite. We stayed in one of the chalets, which were ok and clean. Breakfast was below average. The house misses some soul and looking after. It is a real shame.

We were up for a wedding at Mar Lodge and this was very conveniently located. All the staff we came across were excellent and the owners seemed very friendly and accommodating. I guess we met owners and possibly their son (?), who was likewise very helpful. We only ate once in the restaurant but food was very good. If I...
