My wife I and dog stayed here for a week in November in one of the cabins. Would recommend highly, excellent accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable stay! spacious cabin with an excellent kitchen diner. The heating made the cabin cozy and the shower was amazing especially after fresh days on the hills!!! Only 5 mins walk to the village centre will a nice on site restaurant albeit quiet when we were there due to Covid. Pets welcome so a Brilliant find and we will definitely be back

My first experience was after being unable to stay on the nearby campsite due to the Covid restrictions. I enjoyed it so much I returned on another trip and took a few friends along for the trip. Proper cosy type of lodge, lovely fires in the Winter and old fashioned but very comfortable accommodation. Old fashioned is in no way a criticism in this context, The decor fits entirely with this type of Hotel. There were Covid measures in place on my second visit, and whilst not being able to have a drink in the bar by the fire was a disappointment, the proprietors can't be blamed for the restrictions. Helen, Fiona and Danielle (if I owned a hotel I'd poach her!) were perfect hosts with just the right balance to make you feel like members of the family. The food was good and I was sorry to leave. I look forward to another visit in the future.

Called in for Sunday lunch today. £14.50. I’ll be blunt. Over cooked vegetable and what had the look and taste of instant gravy. Pork was fine. Not sure if lack of Yorkshires is a Scottish thing. Apple and rhubarb wouldn’t have crumbled in a month of Sunday’s. Probably soaked up the juices to a mushy paste with being a few days old. After sending it back with a complaint I overheard waitress asking another customer if theirs was ok probably trying to imply I was wrong. Baked Arctic Roll was either wrapped in soft pastry or hard cake couldn’t tell but not pleasant. Can of Coke £5 Mmmm. QR code didn’t scan and contactless didn’t work. Nice weather though.

In fact you are wrong on everything you have mentioned If you want Yorkshires i suggest you stay in Yorkshire and have them at home with every meal you eat as we serve ours with roast beef £5 for a coke really ??? you need to go back to school as you seem to struggle with maths . Did you maybe order 2 drinks as you clearly had 2 desserts to moan about ? We always ask all customers if they are happy with their meal its a mannerly thing to do not to upset you (The world does not revolve around you) I suggest you do not eat out and invest your money on a new phone that can scan QR code as everyone else in the country can manage this simple task Please do not return to the hotel as liars are not welcome Many Thanks

The hotel is ideally located just a short walk into the village. The view from our room was excellent and we had everything we needed for our stay in our very comfortable room. All staff were wearing masks and the waiting staff wore gloves too. Everyone was very pleasant, friendly and helpful, and coped well with the latest Covid restrictions. Breakfast was good, and our dinners were excellent- a different vegetarian special each evening and the desserts were spectacular and very generous! Thank you all for a lovely stay.

The hotel is OK but there were several instances of poor covid measures. I saw staff serve food without masks and also none of the cleaning staff were wearing masks. Also they still do a buffet - for juices and cereals etc at breakfast - again not covid safe. If it wasn’t for the above I would have stayed longer as there are so few options in Braemar.

Regarding your review Hotel is ok / that is your opinion ? There are other Luxury accommodation at 4 - 5 times our price perhaps is was just ok to ? or maybe you could not afford it (?) ALL STAFF / waitress or and cleaners wear masks at ALL TIMES If i was out & saw a member of staff not wearing a mask I would complain at the time (COMMON SENSE) Buffet really ??? In the 24 years i have been here we never did or do a BUFFET for Breakfast All Breakfasts are cooked to order ?. Breakfast Cereals are in sealed packets with one portion in each packet ?. Fruit juices are in air tight sealed jugs. Yogurts etc. are also in one portion sealed containers My advice for you You should take your own food & sleep in your car with windows closed or stay at home. take a pot so you do not have to leave your car Keep Safe
