We stayed at Ceol na Mara on our trip around the Western Isles in August 2016. We found the guest house to be everything we wished for. The hosts, John and Marlene, were very friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable, clean and with a wonderful view. In fact the views from each side of the property, everywhere you...

This was the best bed and breakfast that we have every stayed at. The location is convenient to town with spectacular views. The hospitality, rooms and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations! Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay the best that we have ever had at any bed and breakfast and it is worth...

We stayed for two nights, one of which turned out to bring gale force winds and rain and couldn't have loved it more...we went to the Hebrides for a true Scottish experience and we got it...the windows were shaking and the storm raged but we were quite comfortable in our upstairs room...it certainly gave us an appreciation of what it...

Quaint B&B on the Isle of Harris. We spend two nights here on our honeymoon. It was the best breakfast of our trip. The owners lived attached to the B&B and made homemade yogurt, bread, and muesli every morning. They offered the most delicious breakfast options made fresh to order. The coffee came in a french press and was nice...

John & Marlene are wonderful hosts. Excellent accommodation and wonderful breakfasts. Great location for exploring Harris. The St Kilda bag was very much appreciated for my trip to St Kilda, as was the whisky sample in my room. Looking forward to going back again next year!

Very handy for Tarbert. Views were stunning with superb sunsets to behold! Well appointed and one of the best breakfasts you will ever have. Nice touch with the whisky and sherry in the rooms. Small point but they could do with better sound proofing between floors (vertically).....Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

Very cosy place, with a nice view, excellent welcome from the hosts, and an incredible breakfast. Well done! We were nicely surprised to have whisky (Jura?) and sherry as a welcome gift. Quite unique!

The house is beautifully sited, quiet and very comfortably furnished, very convenient for Tarbert and the ferries and exploring Harris; but what really makes this special is John and Marlene Mitchell - warm, welcoming, genuine and very helpful. The welcoming dram of whisky and sherry was just the start! And the breakfasts... the most important word on the menu is...

Ceol Na Mara I stayed at the cookie jejune guesthouse on the 10th of July, well this is a lovely place which I recommend highly, it's very comfortable and spotlessly clean but it's the little things that make the difference, quality beds and bedding and attention to detail, home made bread etc and orange juice that came out of an...
