What a lovely way to start our married life! If you are looking for a place where you will be made to feel right at home then the Skeabost hotel is for you. The staff deserve a special shout out and those that made our stay that bit more special - thank you to Jas, Tom, Eilidh, John, Andreius and Ann (sorry if I have missed anyone - you were all fabulous!). A truly wonderful hotel, in a great location, with only a short drive to the likes of Portree, Dunvegan, Fairy Pools, Coral beach etc. The restaurant food was exceptional each night (also dinner at the sister hotel The Duisdale was equally as fantastic!) and breakfast was just a treat! Our room had a beautiful view on to the loch (picture attached) and the bed was extremely comfortable! Will definitely be returning and have cherished memories here forever from our honeymoon.

Lovely meal in the hotel restaurant (as non-resident). Very nice surroundings and tables well spaced apart and feeling Covid-safe. Food was very well presented and tasty. Although I am vegan I was tempted by the Mushroom Wellington with Mushroom and Herb sauce and Date Ketchup (apparently there was a little butter in the pastry) - but it was well worth the sin. Staffwere very attentive, friendly and helpful.

Great service from the start - reception, bar and waiting staff. We ate dinner - good standard, and breakfast was also good. Set in lovely surroundings. Our room was in the main hotel and was a petite double - although still a good size and with a high quality bathroom. We had no view - but were aware of this when we booked, and it was a late booking so got a decent price. We used en route from Uist Ferry.

Had an excellent stay here for 3 nights. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and had everything I needed for my visit. Great breakfast and evening meal each day. Prices for the restaurant are quite high but the food and presentation was excellent. Would stay here again without hesitation.

My fiancee and I had a seven-day stay at the Skeabost Hotel. We paid just under £340 a night. Regardless of increased staycation demand, if we're paying that much we would expect something pretty special, which I'm afraid isn't what we got. Our garden room was the most overpriced I have ever stayed in, in any hotel, by some distance, and my fiancee and I were really disappointed with it. For that price, it was small, with low ceilings, and the only windows looked out on to a path that people regularly walked across. The net curtains didn't give complete privacy, so we had to draw the curtains fully to avoid having people look into our room. That meant any time in our hotel room was without natural light. At that price I would also expect further TV options (such as films you could order), rather than just standard freeview TV. I don't generally complain about hotel rooms, but felt really let down on this occassion given what we were being charged. The restaurant food was good, but felt slightly old-fashioned and lacking in variety. On the plus side, the staff were extremely friendly and professional under difficult circumstances and did what they could to cheer us up when they learned we were unhappy with the room. Breakfast was very good.
