Lovely place, freindly helpful owners, simple facilities, but very good value. Clean and tidy rooms in a cottage seperate from the owners. Drying washing facilities in own shared kitchen. Good hearty breakfast. Would return if in stornoway again.

Stayed there for 2nights in August 2013.We were well looked after. The food was excellent and the room spotless Kathetta and Murdo did speak some very good English though they mostly spoke in some weird language called Gallic !!

Within reasonable walking distance to centre of town. Host recommended the Thai Restaurant on Church Street which was fabulous. Room spotless and breakfast excellent. Hosts very friendly and informative, would definitely stay again.

Love this place far enough out of town to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Looking out the window rain and wind outside but cosy and warm inside. Just an incredible warm welcome even to the excellent service of ordering and picking up my takeaway because I was to tired to go into town. Stay here and...

From outside, the house isn't impressive, but there's enough parking space and it is situated very quiet on the fringe of Stornoway. Opposite you look over the fields, and when you follow the street to its' end, you come to the sea. My room was also quiet and nicely decorated, and the bath was fine. There's no kind of luxury...

Kathetta and Murdo have provided a place that's a pleasure to stay. The rooms aren't particularly large or fancy, but the necessary amenities are there.
