We stayed at Heb Hostel on our recent Haggis Adventure tour through the Hebrides, and I absolutely loved it. Christine made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and answered all of the questions we could have possibly dreamed of asking. I stayed with my friend and two others in the family room on the top floor, and...

Very cozy hostel and thanks to Christine and her father Tosh a great atmosphere. They answered many questions and gave a lot of good tipps for restaurants, live music events and more. We were 3 adults , me my , my husband and grown up son and shared the family room for 3 nights. The hotel was fully booked and...

A clean and well equipped hostel. Christine the owner and staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in a family room on the top floor. A nice touch was the included cereal and toast breakfast. Free wifi was available. The hostel is central in Stornoway and not far from any local facilities. The ferry is 5 minute approximately in the...

Heb Hostel Stornoway is a brilliant place to stay and will become a must visited place after Donald Trump becomes the President of the USA, why? This is where Donald's mother was born. I am not going to go on, getting there by train, bus, ferry or plane will be challenging enough for you, however once there you will love...

A reasonable price for excellence! A very clean hostel. The kind of place you could actually walk around in in your bare feet and not be afraid! The dorms have solid bunks that don't creak or shake, the bedding is clean and the rooms/carpets/toilets and bathrooms are kept spotless by the staff who stay on site. The common room is...

After a three night stay, I concluded that the hostel is pretty good value for money. It only costs £18 for a night, which is pretty good. All the better when you get free cereal, bread & jam, and tea & coffee for breakfast, as well as wifi throughout the hostel. However, it is very cramped. There are about 7...

When I arrived I was welcomed by Tosh, who was very affable and showed me around. The hostel is close to the ferry terminal, is quaint and well furnished (I admired so much the colour of the common room walls that I am seriously thinking to paint my living room of a very similar shade). The kitchen is cosy, spotless...

I stayed at this hostel for one night and was very happy with both the place and the friendly staff. My bed was clean and comfortable, the bathroom clean and the kitchen small but clean and well-equipped. It was also a relief that it was only about 2mins' walk from the ferry.
