Everything a traveller might require is provided, your every need anticipated. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and breakfast alone is worth the stay. It's obviously a source of pride for the owners to see their guests' expectations met at every level. This really pushes the boundaries of what a B&B can be. Well done, and many thanks!

There really isn't a lot to say about Kilkenny Country House, except that it is a wonderful, peaceful and incredibly comfortable place to stay. The rooms are done up to a very high standard. Margaret's welcome is just lovely - and just right. The situation is peaceful. Breakfast was delicious, and as big as you can eat. And the sun...

My wife and I spent 4 days in Islay and decided to pick Kilmeny as our base after reading all the reviews here on TripAdvisor. Confirming our booking was a breeze over email, and Margaret was very helpful in spite of us having to reschedule a bit. From the second we pulled into the driveway, we knew this place was...

My wife and I stayed at Kilmeny as a surprise birthday present for her. Margaret, the owner, gave us an upgrade to the Gold room, which turned out to be fabulous. Kilmeny has had many top mark reviews and it's not difficult to see why. On arrival, we were met by Margaret who was just delightful. She made a fuss...
