Toured the distilleries through my work and during one of those times I was booked in here for three nights. Please "Believe me!" The An Cuan is by far the best: clean, comfortable and quiet throughout. Fergus is the perfect host ..."No Rigsby here! Oh, and the breakfast is very good too!"

Stayed here with two good friends to roam Islay and its distilleries. Very centrally located, Bowmore is a good location to work from since every odd distillery is within 20 minutes by car. Bowmore distillery itself is literally around the corner, jus a two minute walk. The B&B is run by very friendly and hospitable people who even trusted us...

Checked in after 10 pm due to late ferry and host was wonderful and very welcoming. Breakfast was amazing and hosts very flexible with time in serving. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this B & B and would stay again.

We stayed 4 nights in October, 4 people in two rooms. Everywhere was clean and tidy, the hosts were friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable, breakfast was good and quickly served. Location is good too, quiet and close enough to the few restaurants in Bowmore. Price was OK. One room had a bath, the other only a shower. I would...

We had a very nice stay in this cosy B&B in the centre of Bowmore. Our room on the first floor is very tastefully decorated, clean and well maintained, slightly small but very comfortable. The attention to details goes from the choice of teas provided, to the beautiful locally-made natural soap and body wash provided in the bathroom. Breakfast is...

Charles and Fergus went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay, despite some weather-related challenges. You couldn't find any better hospitality in all of Scotland, and a delicious breakfast beside.

Fergus and Charles run an excellent bed and breakfast. The beds are comfortable, the breakfasts excellent and the welcome genuine . Little touches abound:- a wide selection of teas at all times, first class John Lewis towels and face flannels ( often missing in 4 star hotels), an eclectic set of exports at breakfast, plenty of books to read. Wi fi is quick...

I was disappointed with my stay at An Cuan for the cost. It started with being allocated a twin bed room despite booking a double. The breakfast situation is also a challenge - the room and the table is nowhere near large enough for all the guests, making the whole process feel very awkward. When the owner casually asks what...

Spent three nights here in August. B&B was OK. Rooms were perhaps a little small almost trying to fit too much into small rooms. Breakfast OK although certainly not everyone's cup of tea in terms having one big table and having to talk to other guests.

We were on a cycling trip around the inner Hebrides and required good B and B accommodation with good restaurants nearby. Isaly was a difficult island to find reasonably priced accommodation and in our whole trip this was the most expensive stay. The host was welcoming and had undercover accommodation for our bikes. The room was very small and the...
