It was supposed to be gym and spa as well but the aforesaid middle age put paid to that and we concentrated on the eats. Very nice it was too but, as a doorstep-sandwich kind of boy, I never thought it possible...

We booked an overnight stay via Classic Britian (DBB + bottle of wine) for a very good price. The hotel has recently been done up and looks great. Our family room was huge and very modern. Lovely view of the gardens. The pool was also great and had a small inflatable chair for babies which my 9 month old daughter...

We love to stay in the Garden Suite. Stunning jacuzzi bath, very comfortable room. Food impeccable, staff attentive and a very comfortable place to stay. We tend to go to our private escape at least once a month. Use the spa, beauty salon and am never disappointed. From Breakfast to Afternoon Tea, Lunch, Dinner or Room Service, food is always...

The staff were friendly and efficient and could not have been more helpful with choices for the children in our party.(did not spend the...

Booked via Classic Britain, this two-night BOGOF deal was great value. Staff are the Popinjay's greatest asset - all were welcoming and most helpful. Bedroom furniture was a bit tired but bedroom clean and tidy and bed comfortable. Broken hinge on the wardrobe door was checked by the manager immediately on reporting, and joiner was arriving as we checked out....
