Joan and Jack (the westie) are great host, my wife and I have started our vacations with Joan several times over the past few years, We have always been greeted as friends and the B&B is clean and quiet. We enjoy catching up with each others lives and sharing fish and chips for our first meal in Scotland.

I think this was the fourth time we have stayed with Joan and her wonderful little Westie Jack. It is like a home-coming, After being away from Scotland for a year or more we always look forward to eating fish & chips when we arrive. The house is always spotless and the welcome is genuine. Biggar is a nice quaint... More

stayed for a couple of nights in a very large spacious family room with 2 other friends. The B&B was easy to find, not far from the high street. It was modern and well appointed and I had a great sleep even in a single bed. Breakfast was plentyful and great.

Fantastic b&b in a quiet cul de sac. Very modern facilities with the perfect host and nothing was a bother to her. We would most certainly call again if we were in the area. It was nice to go out onto the decking in the morning and listen to the birds even tho we were in the town! Thanks Joan,... More

This B&B was excellent. The room we had was huge in size and could easily have fitted a full family in it without feeling crammed. The bed was extremely comfortable as was the sofa. The ensuite had a luxurious feel towards it and had everything in it that was needed. The owner, Joan, was very tentative to our needs and... More

What a delight! Huge room with comfortable beds. Bigger and better than many hotels' 'junior suites.' Very quiet location but only moments,on foot, from the High Street. Joan is a congenial and helpful host. Breakfast is varied and generous. Have the full breakfast at least once with its locally sourced ingredients.

This was our third or fourth time to stay at Cuil Darach. Joan has always been a very gracious host, delivering our every need. Her house is spotless and the food is the greatest. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Joan & Westie Jack are great host, always willing to work around our schedule and furnish us a great nights sleep in a clean comfortable home. The breakfast is always delicious and well prepared, very convenient to small village of Biggar, but with country side views. We indeed came as a guest and left as a FRIEND.

I looked for a B&B establishment in a quiet location in Biggar whilst transporting my daughter and a carload of her belongings from Edinburgh to pastures new. Cuil Darach was perfect. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and were given good advice about the eateries of Biggar for our evening meal. The rooms (and bathrooms) were modern, tastefully... More

We were very pleasantly surprised with this stay. I had never stayed in a small b&b before and was a bit nervous about staying in someones house. However the landlady was warm and welcoming and the rooms were superb. The decor and bathrooms were done to a very high standard and the views were stunning!
