Our accessible room was first class! So much room, very comfortable and felt instantly relaxed on arrival. The food is amazing with so much choice. The staff were very friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. The grounds are immaculate and the hotel is situated within walking distance of the shore and local golf courses. It was our first stay here and it definitely won't be our last!

We've been to all the costleys in ayrshire aapart from this one and had a voucher for an afternoon tea. The grounds are impressive, the building is impressive, the man that seated us and his professionalism was impressive. The lady then took over, bought our drinks tea/coffee and a young girl bought the afternoon tea and just sat it down without saying what was I n the sandwiches and what the cakes were. Upon my first mouthful I found a hair in my haggis bon bon, called the lady over who whizzed them away, but came back with a tray of 10 that the chef had checked. To be honest I was so put off by the hair I couldn't touch any of those 10. The rest of it was pretty average, when we had finished we wanted to take the scones and cakes home but all the staff had disappeared, we waited ages so I went to reception to ask for someone. We recieved one coke and one glass of wine as compensation for the hair. We was going to ask to have a look at the menu but after our experience we decided against it.

We had our wedding at Lochgreen in June, and we could not have asked for a more special, memorable day. The hotel itself is so classic and well put together, the grounds are stunning, but the highlight is the Orangery where we got married, such a beautiful room to be married in. The food was exceptional (wedding meal and the meal in Bisque the night before), with so much attention to detail, matched with superb wines. Our families were made to feel special by the wonderful team. We cannot thank Dawn enough for all her help and all the lovely individuals who worked so hard on our day. I feel terrible to not know everyone's name, because everyone was fantastic, but David, Andrew & Nicky all really pulled the stops out for us! the day ran like clockwork and there was no detail or request left off. The rooms were so spacious and clean, and everyone did what was needed to be safe. The views from the bridal suite were amazing, and we capped off a perfect night enjoying them with a glass of champagne - even the rain didn't spoil it! We can't wait to come back!

CHIEFS ARE AMAZING! My wife wanted to surprise me with a special dinner as it was fathers day. Unfortunately she was working Sunday and would have been too tired to conjure one up by the time she got home. She approached the kitchen staff at Lochgreen Hotel and asked if they could possibly make "take home" Lobster dinner for two? She only went to Lochgreen because she had heard that it was a fantastic place to dine. We were absolutely astonished at the dinner she she was given. There are no words to describe what these gentlemen (the Chefs & galley staff) accomplished despite having a full restaurant. The food was spot on when she reheated my favourite dish. These people work miracles. Thank you for creating even when you are under pressure. Seriously to anyone who wants a great meal? Lochgreen hotel and spa is definitely one to go back for. THANK YOU CHEFS YOU ARE ALL DOING A FANTASTIC JOB. THANK YOU ALSO TO THE OTHER KITCHEN STAFF FOR MAKING MY DAY . DIDN'T EXPECT SUCH A WONDERFUL SURPRISE. Obviously thank you also to my wife for doing what she did No doubt about going back to dine in when the occasion arrises . You can taste the profession in their food. Many thanks
