I found the South Beach to be an enjoyable place to stay in Troon. My room was probably the height of fashion in the nineties rather than this decade but for the price paid it felt like fair value. Location is good - 10/15 minute walk into Troon or any of the golf courses. 10 minutes walk to the train... More

Visiting family in Troon, I stayed at South Beach for a number of weeks in December through to January. From arrival to departure, staff were very welcoming and friendly – providing a true personal experience. The sea view room was comfortable and spacious. The bar/lounge was cosy – complete with tartan carpet. Breakfast included a small continental buffet, and full... More

A three night Twixmas break with Bibby's Coaches was delightful. The hotel was very comfortable, with very friendly, happy and efficient staff. The food was superb, easily 4* created by John the chef, son of the owners. He must be congratulated. The journey back south through the storm, with road closures due to accidents and floods was interesting, and worrying,... More

The whole stay was very comfortable and food was of very high standard and the staff were friendly and courtesy to the guests I will say the bar staff need training on making cocktails (Bloody Mary ) as they couldn't and didn't know how to make my tipple and any others to mention. The breakfast is well good

I and two friends stayed here while on a walking break. Friendly staff, nice food great beer and pleasant rooms. It's a dog friendly place which was one of the reasons we chose it as we had a dog with us. Worth a visit. Some great walks in the area and I believe it's a great area for golfing. It... More

Stayed there for the purposes of golf and fun with a largish group of golfing pals. First thing to say is that the value for money was fantastic. Two nights , breakfast and dinner for a song. Secondly, the young staff are all friendly and made sure we had a great time. The food was all good, there was plenty... More
