We were looking for a B&B which would allow us to bring our little dog as long as it didn't cast. We had a downstairs bedroom for three nights. A beautiful ensuite with bath and shower. We had great breakfasts I had cooked and my wife had continental breakfast. Margaret was a very nice landlady and most helpful. We felt...

This delightful house on a very up market avenue backs onto one of the local golf courses. The rooms were clean and towels and soaps/shampoos were also provided. The rooms had tea and coffee making facilities. If you want milk you need to ask as there is no UHT in the rooms. The house has wifi. Breakfast was superb. A...

Management response:

Thank you Phil for your kind review and I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. You were not in an ensuite room but we do have a double/twin /family ensuite room on the ground floor. I like to supply fresh milk and biscuits from the kitchen for all rooms. I look forward to seeing you back any time, Thanks again,...

We were caught short by our original B&B closing down and we had a small choice because of the Ayr air show so we booked two nights at the Cherries for our annual golfing pilgrimage. Can't fault the service and the breakfasts were lovely. About a twelve quid taxi trip into Ayr or Prestwick and the guesthouse backs onto one...

Margaret, our host, made us most welcome. The room was very comfortable and overlooked the garden and the golf course beyond. She served an excellent breakfast with scrambled eggs cooked to perfection! A lovely, peaceful place to stay.

I'd fully recommend staying at this B&B. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, going out of her way to cater to your needs. She also cooks a great breakfast! The rooms are clean & warm and the location feels homely. If I'm in Troon again I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at the Cherries for the Commonwealth Games commuting into Glasgow each day from Troon Station ( 40mins) Margaret our host was very accommodating having squeezed in a folding bed to a smaller room to fit myself and my partner into her home at an exceptionally busy time. She was also the most reasonably priced B&B I was able...

A warm welcome. Spacious rooms. Good facilities. Breakfast menu is good well prepared and presented. Would recommend and have no hesitation in returning for another stay. Driveway entrance somewhat narrow, especially for reversing out of but that is a minor point

We spent two nights at the cherries and I felt sad leaving today. Margaret was a perfect host. We had the twin room which was decorated with character and charm with an amazing view over the golf course. It was quiet and peaceful and an excellent base to explore the area. Breakfast was delicious and the service was A+. I...

Coming to Troon from the USA for a family wedding, we stayed at The Cherries one night. Coming off a long flight, we wanted our first night to be easier. Then we relocated to Margaret's self catering unit, Seascape, for a week. Both places were excellent. The Cherries has beautiful gardens. Seascape has a fantastic view of the sea. It...
