Not our first visit to the beer garden at this lovely hotel and bar. The food, drink, staff and service were all fantastic. Anyone planning a trip to Troon should think about staying at the hotel or at least having some food and drink in the garden, weather permitting.
Came as a family 6 adults, a child and a dog. Staff were so friendly, very good prompt service and food was delicious! Menu was shorter on arrival than was on the website but still a good choice and food was food on arrival!
Recently stayed in one of the suites over a weekend. It was lovely and spacious, plenty hot water to have a few baths and comfortable bed. The decor was a little tired but it was clean (and I'm the sort who will go through the drawers and wardrobes to check!). Quick and friendly check in. Didnt eat in the restaurant and cant comment on breakfast. Thanks guys!
Don't stay at the anchorage, it's the worst hotel we have ever stayed at . Why, no hot water in our room, Wallpaper hanging off walls Leaking roof on stairs Cracks in walls everywhere. springs coming through the mattress Poor menu, with over priced food 1 panini £8. Plus loads more faults.too many to list. Never again it was abismal.
Pub grub that looked and tasted homemade but basic with no veg on the plate. No mention on the website that it was a limited menu which was disappointing. Also 5 out of the 9 main items on the menu were chicken based so choice limited even further. They could have put in steak pie or burger as alternatives. Ok visit but don't think we would go back. There was someone obviously eating something not on the menu but think this could have been a staff member. If they can do it for staff they can do it for paying customers
