Family lunch, 5 people today and everybody raved about each of their courses. I had the chicken pate which was a lovely smooth texture and beautiful flavour and the chicken curry with banana which was AMAZING. Tender chicken breast with crispy skin and a delicious mild curry sauce with the sweetness of the banana counterbalancing but not overwhelming. If I...

Booked a meal with friends, dining room busy but promptly shown to a table and given menus, all staff very attentive. Menu excellent with a wide variety of dishes plus a separate menu of specials. Food arrived quickly with good portion sizes and piping hot, service quick but not rushed - staff did not hover around the table waiting to...

Had a very lovely meal with my family which was spoiled for two of us as the sun which was very bright was shining on our face we asked if the blinds could be pulled down and were told by the manager that Mr Costley did not allow the blinds to be pulled down. I would suggest that Mr Costley...

Lunched here today. Service very smart and pleasant. Food really tasty with large portions. Only niggle the set lunch menu could do with being revamped as we have had same choices for several months! Beautiful dining room with terrific views over to Arran.

4 of us visited here for a meal on Sunday evening, 8th January. The starters of smoked cheese and brussels sprout soup (yes you saw right) was as bad as it sounds. The chilli mushrooms were really salty and the terrine was ok at best, The cod batter was soggy and undercooked inside. The lambs liver was raw inside, although...

Food was poorly presented and served under temperature, which is dangerous. As was the service and attitude of the duty manager. Will never eat here again and thankfully I have been able to divert friends and colleagues away from this establishment.

This is a delightful place for an afternoon coffee or a glass of wine. The setting is spectacular with views across Troon and on to the Firth of Clyde! The staff are very friendly and the service is slick! Coffee, a glass of wine and tea totalled £11 which was good value! Highly recommended! Thanks

On behalf of Ayrshire Housing I would like to thank all the staff for a fantastic night. A special thanks to Antonio who made sure we got everything we needed. The food was amazing and the surroundings were festive, fresh and vibrant. After our meal we were never off the dance floor. Would thoroughly recommend Highgrove for a fun Christmas...

A mixed experience. Some praise first, the young man acting as sommelier was charming and a credit to the establishment. Starters were imaginative and very pleasing, my smoked duck was a delight, and the raspberries were like an electric bolt of flavour. Main course was a strange experience, described, I think, as traditional Christmas lunch came in a stack, the...
