The pictures make you think that this castle is on these gorgeous grounds in the rolling hills of Scotland. Quite wrong, it is in the middle of a subdivision and directly across the street from the high school football field. They lead you to believe that it is difficult to get a reservation in the restaurant so you should pre...

The Mansfield castle. Is situated on the edge of the town of Tain, an historic scottish town founded in 1066. The town of approximately 4000 is a quaint Scottish town, safe and friendly to all. The castle is proud to be on the edge of this famous town, offering the visitor a castle experience and a short walk to town....

Very helpful staff, great food, we were in the annexe, next time I would stay in the main hotel as my wife found the room a little cold, I would definitely stay here again and most definitely eat here again

Mansfield Castle is very charming on the outside but somewhat dated on the inside, especially the room design. If you are looking for a Victorian feel, this place would work for you! The matching wallpaper and bedspread was a bit much for us. Sheets and towels were thin and worn out, some of the staff were friendly but the manager...

Had a fantastic time here, just booked for one night as a wee get away. The room was beautiful and very comfortable, the views were lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Ate at the hotel and I think I can say it was the best steak I have ever tasted. Had a super breakfast next day too....

I was cycling LeJog and the evening was fast approaching after a hard days cycling - my wife had one brief, find me a warm room with bar food and wifi. She succeeded with a Capital S. The Mansfield Castle is splendid, looks great, huge sweeping staircase and wonderful rooms - mine even had a 'jet bath' bliss after a...

I booked the hotel for a night get away. We booked one of the rooms with a spa bath, it was very spacious and clean room. Bed was very large and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in the highlands by a mile. We ate in the evening in the castle too, very good and...

The first thing you'll notice about this hotel is that it is a beautiful old manor house situated in the heart of Tain, one of Scotland's oldest boroughs. The second things you'll notice is an outdoor patio made of mismatched wood in what appears to be a haphazardly fashion. This is what is known as a 'clue.' On the plus...

The woman who checked us in was extremely helpful in bringing us to our room, which unfortuately was located via a winding maze of stairways and corridors. The room was very tired and felt like the servants quarters rather than a stay at a grand castle, which is what we were hoping for. The woman offered an alternative route to...

Although only there with work for 1 night, I had a very enjoyable stay. Room was lovely, spacious but still with warmth. The staff were very attentive and the owner made me feel very welcome. I didn't eat here so cannot comment on this but the breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend.
