We stayed here for 3 nights in March and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Staff couldn't be more helpful. The food was great also. The hotel welcomed my Assistance Dog also which is a priority for us when booking a venue. The hotel is Victorian and spotlessly clean. It is a little tired in decor but the wood panelling and warmth...

Lovely setting with great ambience. We were there for a family function and the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We booked out the entire hotel and the service was great. A lovely breakfast in the morning.

Just spent a wonderful night at the Mansfield Castle. Our room was warm and comfortable, the staff friendly and efficient Dinner was served and presented beautifully and was the best food we have tasted for a long time - and we eat out quite often! Breakfast too was perfect. Well worth a visit at any time of year.

We only stayed one night on our North Coast 500 trip, but the staff were friendly, the original part of the hotel was very 'grand', the bar was comfortable and well stocked and the food was excellent!

We stayed here on the advice of a travel agent when I said we would like to stay a castle. Had a big upstairs room which was very nice. The bed was not very comfortable as it sunk down where you slept and the comforter was too warm for the summer nights with no air conditioning. Also he a problem...

The friendly staff make for an enjoyable visit to the hotel. (Very accomodating and helpful). Hotel is rather quaint and with old-fashioned decor which could do with an upgrade. However, everything clean inside and in working order. We would consider saying here again as its in a good location in Tain.

We stayed here for four nights while playing golf in the area; the service was very good, the staff were lovely and the manager was a very interesting man. We loved our room which was spacious and well appointed. The old fashioned style of the hotel had a definite Scottish charm. There were two improvements that we would suggest -...

Very friendly service throughout. Staff could not have been nicer. We had the Rose room, which was spacious and comfortable with great views over the gardens and down to the Dornoch firth. Hotel is easily accessed from the A9 and just a 5 minute walk into Tain. Breakfast was cooked to order and was superb. Only negatives were the TV...

Stayed for one night before golfing at Dornoch the following day. Very comfortable room. We ate from the bar menu in the evening which was very good and the breakfast was first class. Would happily return.

We enjoyed our stay in the turret room - a large 2 bedroom suite with modern bath. Make sure you climb the turret for a view of Tain from the rooftop. Our dinner in the dining room was good and our included breakfast the next day was filling. Especially enjoyable was the owner who recounted stories of famous visitors to...
