Another "bargain" found on a late room website. This has been a lovely hotel, but it must have been at least a decade ago. I found this hotel on its last legs. So very sad. Nobody cares about, not even the staff. Nobody spoke English as their first language. I couldn't find the place as it was dark and very...

We are assuming you checked in after 10pm and then checked out at 8.30am. The room you were in has just been renovated, known as the Queen mothers room, large double bed, sitting area, view of the bay, large bathroom. We have a number of guests ask for this room. The hotel was 75pct. full and no other guest mentioned cold water? We are not sure...

Absolutely great weekend, visited places we hadn't been to for a few years brought back good memories. Made a new memory at the Morangie House Hotel. But review first.... A lovely warm friendly arrival from the staff, room was lovely and we had a jacuzzi bath, bliss. The hotel stands in its own grounds and it was serene and peaceful....

I had a booking at the sister hotel, Mansfield castle, but was move as the Mansfield were doing some upgrades. I was upgraded to a superior room - and very nice it was too!. Four poster bed and spa bath really hit the spot. Evening meal was very nice from a set menu plus a big choice of "specials" Fried...

Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay. We stayed in one of the superior double rooms which was spacious, warm and clean although slightly dated. The food in the restaurant was delicious and service was excellent both in the restaurant and from hotel staff. Great central location for a short break in Tain.

I would recommend this 'Highland Gem' for any occasion! Back home now from a wonderful start to 2016 thanks to everyone at The Morangie hotel. Cosy bedroom, friendly and professional staff but best of all the food was to die for. Quality local food, presented beautifully, everything I had was mouth-watering. Also a great choice of quality wines at very...

Very efficient and friendly check-in. Our double room was spacious, extremely clean and well equipped with good quality fixtures and fittings. A good selection was offered for breakfast, although on our final day, the croissants and pastries had run out. We were not the last to come down to breakfast either! The bar staff were extremely pleasant and there was...

It's about a year since I last visited this hotel located in what was an elegant Victorian mansion. Traditionally, this hotel caters to the "blue rinse" brigade. The visit on this occasion was a late-morning "soup and sandwiches" function for about 45 covers. First of all the good points: Staff: young but excellent. Competent, helptul and friendly. Full marks in...

Arrived to warm welcome from Audrey, Manageress. Checked into ensuite superior room, was clean and spacious. Food and service was excellent but after a while you notice the faults in the fabric of the hotel. Cracks in ceiling, threadbare carpets dull paint etc. Cannot fault the staff.

The directions we received were not good, but once we found it, we're very happy w the service and accommodations. There are 3 of us (sisters) traveling together, so when we asked for an extra bed for our room, they gave us an extra room, no charge! It takes at least 40 minutes to get here from Inverness. The town...

Was here for a meal with my Mum and Step Dad whilst staying in Balintore. Always get a warm welcome from the staff at the front desk and taken through to our table. The bar area is nicely decorated and well suits the style of building but the conservatory could do with a bit of upgrading/re decoration and some insulation...
