Friendly staff serving good food. Old section of hotel above reception requires double glazing. Shower water pressure was poor so used the bath after spending the day on a cold windy jetty unloading pipes.
Last minute booking for one night but my family and were delighted by the old world charm of Morangie house and the rooms were spacious and luxurious. The food was top notch and served with style and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend travellers to stop here and explore the old village of Tain
Stayed for two nights. The room was big, and very very clean. Reasonably comfortable bed, and lots of pillows. Small TV, but great tea and coffee station. Bathroom is big, immaculately clean and shower was good. The hotel has lots of stairs to get to your room. Car parking is free and has lots of room. I didn't try the restaurant, but did have soup both days and it was sensational both times. The staff were lovely, very kind and helpful and check in and check out were very fast and all correct. My only dislike was the WiFi; hard to connect to from my room, slow, and occasionally couldn't connect at all. Frustrating when you're trying to catch up with family and friends. Otherwise I had a lovely stay. Tain and Dornoch are lovely towns to explore.
I had lunch here yesterday and was absolutely wowed by the standard of food. I’ve eaten here plenty of times over the years and it’s always been very good, but yesterday it was exceptional. As soon as the food was put down in front of me it looked so inviting and it tasted equally as fantastic. Personally I would recommend the food here as being the best in the area and would encourage more people to try this place. Can’t wait to go back for lunch now!
We had booked a private dining room to celebrate the 90th birthday of a very special lady. The Sunday Carvery was first class, service was friendly and quick and our party of nine thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A lovely dining experience
