In addition to the B&B, Ed and Wendy proved self catering apartments. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Ed and Wendy to the first floor apartment. We were pleasantly surprised that we were provided with eggs from their free range hens and home made bread upon arrival. Needless to say then bought more of these excellent eggs and bread... More

Ed and Wendy make a stay at Braemore a wonderful stop while traveling in The Highlands. They are welcoming and friendly, making you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door - and they provide possibly the biggest breakfast I've ever eaten! Everything was delicious, especially the homemade bread and homegrown eggs, so it simply must be... More

arrived in pouring rain but welcomed warmly by Wendy and Ed. The house is taken straight from a fairytalebook and placed in one of the sweetest spots in the highlands. The free range hens love to pop a delicious egg for your breakfast, which is served in a cosy dining room. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and it... More

We stayed here for one night at the beginning of a week long trip for hillwalking and other activities. This place is like staying at a friend's house (albeit a friend that makes AMAZING breakfasts). The room we had was large and comfortable, complete with a spotless ensuite bathroom (bath and shower) with great toiletries (organic essential oils in lavender... More

Ed and Wendy Hughes were excellent hosts. Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety to choose from. We had a room at one end of the house and it was clean and quiet. The only sound we heard was the sheep outside our window. One morning we had a treat seeing Ed give the sheep a manicure. This gave... More

We spent 3 nights at Braemore Square in early May while we wre on a hiking trip to Scotland. Our hosts Ed and Wendy were very friendly and helpful. Ed is very knowledgeable about local attractions as well as the local history. Braemore is situated on a 6000 year old archeological site and it is also a working farm. Breakfast... More

Braemore Square was one of the larger B&Bs we stayed in while in Scotland. The building is lovely with lots of stairways and hallways full of twists and turns, and a cozy homey décor. It’s truly situated in the country – there are tons of chickens out back and when we visited they had a crop of week-old lambs out... More

Can fully recommend theis B&B in lovely Ullapool Scotland. The house is amazing and for breakfast we got home-made jams, freshly picked mushrooms with our omelettes and lots of other good stuff. Ed and Wendy gave us lots of great advise on what to see in the area. We would love to come back any time.

I'm sure there are other equally good B&B places in the country - I just never found them. Ed and Wendy's B&B and their apartments are simply fantastic. Vast grounds including a beautiful salmon river which Ed might let you fish in if you ask nicely. Wendy's self-baked bread and a really opulent breakfast make sure you start the day... More

A wonderfully cozy retreat surrounded by insanely majestic valleys carved by ancient glaciers and new-born streams. Our hosts were warm, friendly, and extremely helpful and patient with advice and driving directions for three girls from the middle of the Pacific. After a long day of site seeing and adventures in driving, the Braemore Square Country House was a very welcome... More
