booked in for a romantic weekend...and that's what we got! rooms 1, 2 & 3 have jacuzzi's in them (i haven't seen rm 1 or 2 but was informed of this). we stayed in the 'Glenfiddich', and it was fantastic. the jacuzzi is so powerful and room nicely decorated (could do with nicer carpet though) and an extremely comfy bed....

visited here after it had been refurbished and i have to say the food was really nice there but we were sitting right by the bar and was really noisy and people kept banging in to my partner which was in a wheel chair. it was hard to get any staff or ordering anything at the bar. my partner asked...

Thank you for your recent review of The Eagle, although I am somewhat confused to read your comments on trip advisor 10 months after your visit. I believe we responded to all your points on disabled access by detailed letter at the time. We are a small local business and as such have no control over the planning regulations. Following...

Well I must say we have just returned having had an amazing time! Our room was clean and had all mod cons including a large tv on the wall and the mini filter coffee machine which was a nice touch. The ultimate surprise was discovering the large cornerJacuzzi bath in the bathroom! The food is amazing, we our frequent diners...

Walked in past a young man at the front door, who i can now assume was the manager, smoking and had to find out own table and wait for menus as the other young girl on shift was busy, the man came in and just sat at the bar and played on his phone, did not wash his hands after...

A good mix of traditional pub grub a local delicacies. Good value and served by pleasant staff, it is good to find somewhere that can serve traditional food without the need for all of the bells and whistles you have to endure in some establishments. The Eagle has recently been tastefully renovated and provides a pleasant ambiance in which to...

After reading the review below, I was hesitant to try the food here, but after the options around the village seem either very pricy, or basically bought harvster type offerings, i gave it a go. Pleasantly surprised, ate a Paella for lunch, and wow. Sure the place was quiet, I guess thats the time of year, but went back for...

Just thought I would post a review in response to last review. I use the eagle as my local and have done for years. Ok the refurbishment totally changed the pub I grew up in and annoyed a lot of the older locals, which I guess are the people advising you not to eat at the Eagle. I stopped eating...

My wife and I decided, against all the advice of locals, to try the food at the Eagle Hotel in Dornoch. It was Wednesday (Burger Day) we ordered the special burger at £10 for two. The manager (or whatever employee he was) served us our drinks and took our orders then disappeared. No customers (other than us) and no staff...

Hard to get accommodation that part of the world any time of year but decided on this hotel the room was very basic and coffee maker hadn't been cleaned from previous guest, didn't sleep all night due to banging which I assume was water pressure in another part of the hotel. Couldn't fault the breakfast and previous nights dinner.
