Stayed here as we were eating at Andrew Fairlie's restaurant in Gleneagles. A very pleasant B&B, friendly welcome, lovely room and a good breakfast. They will organise a taxi for you to get to Gleneagles (takes about 10 mins) and the driver will give you his number again for afterwards. Only stayed one night but was perfect for what we...

Well run, clean and very friendly B&B. We chose Basset Cottage having stayed there before. Second time around was just as good as our first visit except we were treated like friends this time. The owner is so helpful & has a great sense of humour. The breakfast is great & sets you up for the day. We will be...

This little gem of a guest house is ideal if you want to find somewhere quiet and comfortable. It is only a stones throw from Gleneagles and really comfortable. Great value and super friendly. We would definately stay there again in the future!

We attended a meal event at Gleneagles and could not get a room there in our price range so booked a room at a local B&B. We were pleasantly surprised when we got there to get the "Blue Room" which was more like a small suite. It had a settee, double and single beds and ensuite bathroom with shower. The...

We stayed at Basset cottage on our way to the Isles, three adults and one collie. The reception was excellent, good food and advice, very helpful owner and family. Can very much recommend it. We will certainly be using it again in future trips in the same direction. David N.

Stayed at Basset Cottage for 4 evenings last week whilst in Auchterarder on business and had a very enjoyable stay. The room was very cosy, warm and clean with use of a private bathroom with plenty of hot water and pressure from the shower. The breakfasts were first class and Bitnet was very welcoming and friendly. I stayed in the...

Stayed here as we were attending an evening event at Gleneagles and didn't fancy a long drive home at night. The Green Room had a nice outlook and was very quiet and comfortable and had everything we needed. Plenty of spaces to park on the road, a lovely welcome and advice on where to eat and how to get to...

My wife and I stayed here for a night as we had vouchers to spend at gleneagles, but couldn't offered to eat there and stay the night! We were given a very warm welcome, the room was perfect, and breakfast was lovely. It was nice chatting to Bitney and her daughter, and they are clearly proud of Basset Cottage. We...

I stayed here in July for two nights. It was easy to find, plenty of on street parking, lovely welcome. Good balance of friendliness and privacy from the owner, which many establishments I’ve encountered struggle with. I stayed in the ‘Green’ room which had twin beds, it was absolutely lovely with a very large separate bathroom. Beautiful view of the...
