It may need some updating but the welcome we received, standard of cleanliness & service we were given went above & beyond what i have experienced elsewhere in many establishments within Scotland. all for a budget cost. The meals we tried were delicious & we only intended to have breakfast on our first morning but it was so good we stay for another ! We did not travel with children but did notice a large secure outdoor play area with picnic tables which i am sure my grand children would love. Beautiful area of Scotland & visit often, first time we have used the Carisbrooke, we hope to return very soon ! Many thanks, wishing you every future success .

One night at £50, YES YOU READ RIGHT, just £50 a night, for a twin room. Spotlessly clean and fully modernised. Great value for food and drinks in the bar. The staff we met couldn't, in any way whatsoever, have been nicer or done a better job. The Carisbrooke = GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY

Stayed for two nights. The room was clean but still in the 1970s. Needs a real touch of modern amenities. However at £50 a night it is value for money. Diss appointed that the room wasn’t serviced each day. The bar is friendly, modern and well stocked but the food choice is limited and lacked quality in its preparation. The overall dining experience both for dinner and for breakfast was not the best.

Stayed in the carrisbrooke for around 2 months while working away from home, the hospitality was well above what I'm used to in other hotels. Anything I needed was catered for, all the staff went above and beyond with everything from service to meals, I would highly recommend the place to anyone thinking of visiting this area ! Jim and Mandy the owners are true professionals making sure my stay was just like being at home.

A very pleasing return to the Carisbrooke, The last time we were here, a few years ago it was in need of some TLC. Pleased to see there has been some, the room we were in had been upgraded, The bar area was pleasant and were advised it would be subjected to an upgrade soon. As we were at another function we only stayed overnight, however on passing the bar later it seemed to be going in full swing with a karaoke event. Full breakfast in the morning set us up for the day. Good friendly service. The future looks for the Carisbrooke, hope they continue to flourish.
