A well placed hotel in the quieter part of the island. We did have a mix of weather but generally it was ok. Unfortunately no view from the room we were in but from the landing balcony and the lounge the views were great. The room was clean and the beds comfy and the shower was hot! The staff were...

We didn't stay here as we were camping down the road, called in Saturday evening for a bar meal and the place was heaving, the bar lad was rushed off his feet ! He was however, very accommodating and took us through to the breakfast room as all the bar tables were full.both the burger and the steak pie were...

While travelling round island with friends stopped off her for lunch. Food was fine and location with view from front gardens on a sunny day was very good. Internally it is a bit dated but service was good and suited us at the time. Not expensive.

Four of us visited for a few beers & none of us was impressed by anything other than the real ale, which was good. The barman was dour, disinterested, un-engaging (despite our efforts), & showed a clear prejudice towards locals. There were a couple of foreign guests kicking about who received the same disinterest. Who knows what impression of Arran...

The hotel has a wonderful view on the little harbour and castle. Overall the staff and rooms are fine, although particularly the sitting room could do with a restyling. Wi-fi did not reach my room, but there was good connection from the bar and public areas. The restaurant is also fine, although the menu is not particularly exciting. In general...

We went for coffee on a hot spring day. But when I saw they served a nice pint (Caledonia XP3, brewed in Edinburgh) I decided to have one, as did my companions, by a window with a great view of the lock and hill.

Stopped here for a couple of beers whilst cycling around the Island, sunny day so it was perfect to sit out in the garden and chill, very calming area and a lovely view and only a handful of people to nod to. The staff were friendly, cant give a more detailed review as it was only a quick stopover for...

I have frequented the Lochranza Hotel as a non guest many times however this was my first overnight stay. I stayed in the double sea view room and was not disappointed. Well appointed, clean and comfortable. The view is to die for. I have dinner and breakfast during my stay and both were great value for money. The Arran Butcher...

Popped in for a beer after a walk. The bar staff could not have been nicer and chatted away to me and my wife from the second we walked in. Had a great education in different kinds of whisky from them. It has great views and a great stove. I could not have asked for a more welcoming pub. I...

Just returned from a lovely trip to Arran but we made the mistake of having lunch at the Lochranza Hotel. Firstly - don't expect to get served if you're English - even if you are the only ones in the bar at the time. The barman will wait until his friends have come in some minutes after you... and serve...
