This charming, ancient island inn is now an award-winning boutique hotel. Nestled in the charming village of Lamlash the hotel boasts one of the most beautiful locations on the Isle of Arran; looking across Lamlash Bay toward the Holy Isle which rises 1,000 feet out of the sea. The Glenisle was honoured at the 2011 Scottish Hotel Awards, scooping up a Gold Medal for hospitality as well as the prestigious Rising Star Small Hotel award. Once you have experienced Arran from the comfort of the Glenisle Hotel you might find yourself, like so many others, coming back year after year for a regular break which both relaxes and revitalises.

Booked last minute and arrived in the dark but was meet by wonderful staff and cosy lounge bar and bistro. Decided to eat before going to my room and the food was delicious especially the cheesecake! The young man who waited on my was attentive and professional. My room was cosy and warm very clean and I slept very very well. The location is fantastic and as a solo female traveller I felt very safe.

Even before we arrived the communication was epic! I wanted to upgrade the room and this was sorted with minimal effort. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Joy on the reception desk, any stress just left your body. She was warm, friendly and so welcoming. The fire was roaring in the bar/lounge area, we were quickly checked in and invited to dinner once we had settled in with our luggage. We then went to the onsite bistro and were looked after by Lewis. The atmosphere again, was just so relaxed, there was such a calm and amazing energy around us. The menu and drinks selection were excellent! We both enjoyed our dinner, the portions were so big that we had to share a dessert, something unheard of for both of us however we still wanted to enjoy that course as they had looked amazing when delivered to other tables around us. We then enjoyed some drinks in the lounge/bar area with some fabulous live musics. Breakfast on both days stunning and again great choice, happy to swap or change items, the staff literally make you feel part of the family and so well looked after. The room was stunning, we opted for the premier suite with the amazing bath overlooking Lamlash Bay to the holy isle, walking up to that view every morning was really something special! This was a magical experience, I really don’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back! I am sure anyone wanting to stay here won’t be disappointed! Thank you for an amazing stay and a memorable trip to Arran.…

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Glenisle. We stayed in room 12 which was a cosy double. The room was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The food in the hotel was amazing ... portions were huge. Joy, Nathan and Lewis were fantastic. Their customer care skills were amazing and they are a credit to the hotel. Hotel was right in the heart of Lamlash and right across from a beautiful beach. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a hidden gem for breaks. The position of the hotel is on the front and faces Holy Isle. It is amazing. The food is also way above standard and reasonably priced. The staff are extremely kind and helpful and we stayed at an entertainment night which was also just perfect. Definitely we will go again and rate this hotel very highly. Thank you for a lovely time.

Just back from the Glenisle Hotel. Great position over looking the Holy Isle. We paid a supplement for a sea view Only about 10mins drive from ferry terminus and there is a bus stop approx 50yds from hotel, although we didn't use buses. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made . Lounge area tastefully decorated, cosy with a log burning stove and lovely bar. Hotel staff friendly ,helpful and attentive. I like Lamlash better than Brodick .So if we come back...we'd choose here and this hotel again. Room spacious and really comfy bed . On site and off road parking too! :( Only down side was weak shower pressure.

Lovely hotel with super welcoming staff and delicious tasty food made with yummy fresh ingredients from breakfast to dinner. Set in a great location to explore the Isle of Arran. Good size car park and right on the sea front. I’ll definitely stay here on my next trip to Arran.

We stayed in one of the lodges. It was fantastic. We stayed with our young pup. The service and help we received as 2 disabled young people was incredible. We got such a warm welcome and the food there was incredible. The staff went out of their way for absolutely everything. We will definitely be coming back here.

This is an excellent establishment. The thing that makes it special is the team of people delivering top notch quality service that is staggeringly sensitive to the needs of their clientele. This wouldn't happen without the guidance of their Hotel Manager, Joy. However, it's got to be said that she couldn't do the job she does without some splendid people around her.

Thank you to Joy and her team at this lovely small hotel where my daughter and I spent two nights. Everything was wonderful - the location, view, room, food, but most of all the staff who were just simply lovely. They made our trip to Arran a pleasure and we can’t wait to visit again.
