At the heart of the beautiful isle of Arran lies the multi-award winning, employee owned Auchrannie Resort. Auchrannie now consists of two four star hotels; the romantic and relaxing ‘House Hotel’ catering for couples and those wanting a more intimate experience whilst the contemporary ‘Spa Resort’ is popular with families and those prefer a more modern feel to their surroundings. In addition, the resort features 30 five-star self-catering lodges (sleeping up to 8 in total luxury and therefore perfect for the extended family), 14 retreats (sleeping up to 4 people) and a motorhome stopover. The accommodation is complemented by 3 outstanding restaurants and bars, 2 leisure centres both with pools, destination spa featuring treatments by ESPA and Ishga and an outdoor adventure centre. Arran is Scotland’s most accessible islands, often referred to as "Scotland in Miniature” due to the dramatic contrast between the hills and mountains in the north, and sweeping moorlands on the south of the island. A short 55 minute ferry journey off the Ayrshire coast, Arran is easily reachable by those arriving into any of central Scotland’s main airports as well as those travelling by car, train and coach. Whilst many tourists arrive on the island simply to kick back and relax, the island is packed with attractions and sights for visitors of all ages.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have just returned from an overnight stay with yourselves and look forward to booking again Just a relaxing night away with no kids ☺️ perfect! When we arrived we had massages I can't remember the name,a lovely Irish girl who was amazing! We headed up for dinner afterwards and were taken care of by your manager David and Holly, the service and food were both fantastic. A lovely relaxed night away The bed was so comfy we nearly missed breakfast 🙊 Thank you,we hope to visit again soon

This was our first visit to Auchrannie but it definitely won’t be our last. We were very impressed with the high standard of the room we stayed in, the food and the friendliness of all the staff. We need to plan another visit soon

Stayed in the old hotel with an unexpected extra day as the ferry was cancelled. Nothing was a problem to the staff who were extremely helpful. Not only that we found that all staff were very friendly and just lovely. We had an absolutely fabulous time. Beautiful furnishings, gardens and amazing food. First class service. Would recommend to anyone to just experience how lovely it is.

It was our first time using Auchrannie’s motorhome pitches and we were really pleased with the experience. Whilst the pitches don’t have a view like some campsites might boast, they are huge, generously spaced and perfectly levelled. The toilets are great and super clean, plus there’s a dishwashing area too. Wifi signal was strong which was a treat on rainy nights. Looking forward to using again and bringing bikes as there was a bike wash down area too. Feels like Auchrannie have got this pretty perfect for the space they had.

My wife and I travelled early for our week’s stay at our Auchrannie Lodge and enjoyed our extra couple of nights at the Spa Hotel. Very pleasant experience and a fantastic lead on to our main mini holiday on Arran.

We absolutely loved our stay at Auchrannie. My husband and I visited with our 2 mini dachshunds and were delighted with everything. Our executive room was lovely- other than some robes, we really couldn’t have asked for more!! Great to have the extra bedroom where we set up the dog crates. The room was tastefully decorated and perfectly clean. We don’t think we’ve ever stayed in a bed so comfortable!! Lovely touches such as the bowls for the dogs. Our room (120) was on the ground floor so we could let our dogs out through the patio doors very easily- it couldn’t have been better. The facilities on site were fantastic though admittedly we didn’t have time to use the pools or activity centre. I used the Spa on 2 occasions which was heavenly! Staff were fantastic - Megan did both my treatments and did such a good job. Other handy things were the lounges and kitchen areas though admittedly we didn’t use them. Next time we’ll make use of the washing machines for our dog blankets. The VIP dog entrances with towels etc were very useful. We ate in Brambles which was lovely with a great menu. Better still we were able to take the dogs which was fantastic. My only very small suggestion would be that it would be great if there was a dog section in Cruize so we could have taken the dogs for breakfast. I know that’s not to everyone’s taste but it would be very helpful. We got room service one night from Cruize and it was lovely, we’d have loved to go for a meal but couldn’t leave the dogs. Thank you so much for a truly fantastic stay. We had a wonderful time and without a doubt will be back.

Branboes restaurant was really nice. Not the cheapest place but was a nice treat. Would deffo go back. Staff were all lovely. Arran products gorgeous.

I really don't know where to start, from the minute we arrived I knew this was going to be special. We booked 5 nights at the couple retreats lodges, the lodge itself is beautiful well kept, cleaning, spacious and wonderful views down the Glen. The log burner and outdoor bath just give it that extra. We ate twice at cruize and once in brambles the food and service was absolutely 1st class brambles food was stupendous. The staff throughout the whole complex were wonderful, polite, friendly and helpful. I really could go on and on but my advice to anyone is it's a must visit. Thank you for making our stay wonderful xxxx

We stayed in the resort accommodation which was excellent. Very comfy beds, lovely modern bathroom with Arran Aromatic toiletries. Meal in Cruize brasserie was exceptional, as was the breakfast. Pool facilities were very good aswell. All staff were very friendly and efficient as was the cleanliness throughout the resort. Couldn't fault this place in any way. Definitely will be back 😀

Yes, these lodges are expensive but, as a special treat, worth every penny! Stunning decor, super comfortable, everything you would need including toiletries, tea, coffee, etc. the log burner was awesome, the outdoor tub fab, really couldn’t have asked for more. Sleep quality would be great, if I ever had a great sleep, so this score does not reflect the comfort of the sleeping arrangements, rather the fact that I’m a 50+ year old woman who rarely has a good night’s sleep nowadays!
