Stayed at Strathwhillan House for a long weekend (3 nights)at the beginning of May 2016, golfing holiday with a friend. We also had room 3, a twin room, but unlike the earlier review, we found the room to be clean, airy and bright. Yes, the window still has a small hole but this didn't pose an issue with us. Warm. Clean. Good breakfast what more can you expect for £70 per room per night. Some other comments must be from people who have never been out of London This is a B&B in Scotland. Not a 5* £500 night park lane hotel.

i stayed here for a 2 night break staying in room 2.Comfortable room and a good selection of food for breakfast. It is only 2 minutes walk from ferry terminal. The landlady is friendly . There is a large selection of tourist literature and books left by previous guests.

We came here for our 1st wedding anniversary... Was ruined...we had room 3...as soon as we entered the smell of damp was present and realised the curtains and beds were literally wet with damp...tops of doors..wardrobes.. Pictures..skirting boards were obviously thick with dust and the smell of dirt and damp catches the back of the throat..there was a hole in...

Was my first time to Arran since moving to Scotland, first impressions off strathwhillan house seemed fine, nice grounds looked very welcoming,we were shown to our room, which looked like it had recently had a lick of paint, very clean looking, the downside it smelt very damp, being the middle of July it was fairly warm,so I'd hated to stayed in the winter months,as the damp...

Stayed here in September, 4 couples. The house is typical Arran style and is really homey. Very comfy beds, lovely bathrooms, great sitting area. Awesome accommodation overall we really enjoyed our stay here. Easy walking distance from Brodick centre shops and restaurants. Very friendly housekeeper. Breakfast to order was served piping hot and was delicious. Situated literally 30 seconds die...

We spend a night here resently and it was OK. The staff was very friendly, the room was OK for the price. Downside was a small bath and toilet - that was fine with us though. The room though had single glazing and I'm pretty sure it must be really cold in the winter time. Breakfast was actually OK and...

Breathtaking views from Strathwhillan House. A family run business, we were made to feel like one of the family. Breakfast was delicious though not much choice. Rooms were spotless, we didn't have an en suite, but a robe was provided to get to our private bathroom down the corridor. We had a take away on our last night, the proprietor...

I could not be more satisfied with my staying in Strathwhillan House. Though I only stayed there for one night, it was amazing experience. Owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere of the house is very cozy and welcoming. Breakfast was great, as well as the room service. More to it, Strathwhillan House is located very close...

Looks nice from the outside, bit dated inside, needs a bit of TLC. Owner could not be more helpful, nice and welcoming. Breakfast ok, too much microwave use. However all that being said B&B for a family £70. Great value. If you want more spend £200 a night and go elsewhere. Would definitely return. Oh and for those interested they...
