Myself and 3 friends stayed at Fernie while on a girly overnight in St Andrews. It was just perfect! The staff made sure we had everything we needed. We all got to stay in one huge room complete with fairy tale four poster bed, traditional fireplace and fabulous ensuite bathroom. There was plenty of space for the additional beds they... More

I recently spent a night at Fernie with a group of friends and we had a fab time. The castle and grounds were beautiful. It's not a modern hotel, its a traditional castle and is decorated as one, but surely that's what you expect of a castle! It's well located for St Andrews and the staff were super friendly.

We asked for a room that could have 4 adults in it & Fernie pulled it out the bag. The Library Suite is the most perfect room with excellent amenities for 4 girls on a surprise weekend break. It was a special birthday for 1 of us & the staff at Fernie made it perfect: They organised Taxis, Dinner &... More

I attended a day wedding here last month with friends. I have been to the castle before and didn't think much of it, turns out I haven't changed my opinion. The things I liked about this hotel/castle was the lovely scenic surroundings. I also thought the bar area was different to anything of what I have seen before, it was... More

Ventured over to Fife for afternoon tea at Fernie Castle Hotel. This sounds fantastic... It was actually so much better than just fantastic. The surroundings wow. The decor wow The afternoon tea itself was absolutely fabulous, served with a Pimms cocktail, lovely sandwiches and fresh cakes What a wonderful place! and staffed with lovely people. 10/10

Recently attended a wedding here. Our impression would have been ok if we had not stayed in the hotel overnight. The room was dated, not clean and lacked so many things that you would expect from a £180 per night hotel room. Even basic things like no towel rail in the bathroom and no stool in front of the 70's... More

My daughter and I made a visit for Afternoon Tea it was really lovely and the service was good as the staff were friendly but not intrusive. Loved the surroundings and hope to go back and maybe this time ask for a wee nosey around the castle. To top our visit off the owner gave us a lift in style... More

Mum and Dad decided to treat me out for lunch for passing 3rd year of uni but we were left disappointed. The prices we paid for the standard of food were ridiculous. £16.95 for 1 sausage, mash and shredded veg that you get in a kebab shop, rip off. Parents food was of the same poor standard. Upon visiting the... More
