The room we occupied was directly over the function suite and a disco took place on our first night. The music was played at top volume with the bass line so prominent that our bathroom floor gave the impression of movement such was the vibration....More
I don't like giving bad reviews but just have to be honest. Staff were friendly enough but the hotel is so tired and out of date, no friendly welcome could be enough to make it enjoyable. Room, furniture and décor all stuck in the 70s....More
Have not stayed at this hotel myself but didn't book some business colleagues for a couple of nights. They stayed on 2 occasions in 2017 and as they had enjoyed it we booked in again this year.

Chose this hotel as have eaten and drank here before. New owners in process of refurbishing, didn't let the standard drop though. Food was excellent and catered for all tastes including gluten free and dairy. Organisation for celebration and accommodation was well discussed and carried...More

Glad that you enjoyed your stay.....we need to look at accommodating guests wanting to use the facilities before heading off to work. You are even more deserving of the hearty breakfast.

No. Freuchie is a very small village with one general store but there's plenty to see within a short drive. Falkland is just a few miles away to the west and you can visit Falkland Palace there. You can also do lots of gorgeous walks from Falkland - Falkland Hill (East Lomond) and the rest of the Lomonds, Falkland estate, where there are lots of walks of various lengths, and on the perimeter of the estate is a fantastic organic restaurant and food store, the Pillars of Hercules. Just a couple of miles to the north of Freuchie are Ladybank woods which are ideal for walks too.
