What a brilliant find this turned out to be. We booked 2 lodges (4 & 20) for a family break away for my husband's 60th birthday. The lodges are beautifully equipped and clean. The welcome breakfast pack was a nice touch. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - even when bombarded by a hundred questions from my 8...

I would really like to commend the staff for their amazing service, professionalism, efficient and friendly service. Nothing was too much to ask and everyone from reception to the handyman went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. We stayed in the 3 bedroom lodge, No. 12. What a great setting and fantastic place. The place was clean,...

Cannot recommend this place enough!! We had one of the executive lodges which was beautiful. Out door hot tub sitting in it at night under the stars... husband and children!! Together in one place is wonderful. The campsite looks fab too. Relaxing in the woods and on the beach in 20 mins . Will definitely be back ...... if I...

Booked via Hoseasons for a 2 bed lodge at Burnbake. The lodge was clean and is well equipped. The lodge has TV with all Freeview channels. Kitchen has dishwasher, oven, kettle, toaster and microwave oven. The lodge has underfloor heating which has thermostats around the lodge although it would be good to have instructions on this as we turned up...

We have stayed here twice now with my husband and two children aged 13 & 7. Site is very remote and a car is (in my opinion) essential. Situated between Corfe Castle and Swanage an ideal location to explore Dorset and the surrounding area. We have done days out to Poole, Bournemouth, Monkey World, Tank Museum and many more. The...

Could not recommend more, the lodges are done to a very high spec and in a wonderful location. They are beautifully decorated and so light, heated flooring and wood burning fire meant we were kept nice and warm, very relaxing and enjoyable stay we will definitely be back! Hot tub was huge and also attended to twice a day to...

We have been camping at Burnbake for a number of years and loved the relaxed atmosphere and woodland copse layout. When we heard that part of the site was to be occupied by wooden lodges we feared the worse. However, during an early November visit to stay in one of lodges we were pleased to see that there is still...

We had an absolutely lovely family holiday staying in Lodge 18. We felt that the lodge had everything we needed and more and was incredibly good value for money. There were lovely touches like the welcome pack in the fridge and being able to borrow a DVD player from the very helpful and friendly staff. We used our hot tub...

Absolutely loved the lodges. I cannot recommend highly enough. Coupled with the hot tub and log fire = brilliant. The lodges are spacious, clean and well thought out. There is pretty much most things that you would need for a stay. Our kids loved walking about the woods and husband and eldest went for a run to the sea from...

We stayed here over the weekend with some friends and had a very nice time. The lodge was clean and very comfortable with a nice hot tub outside. Was very quiet set in the forest location with easy access to the surrounding attractions. We would certainly visit here again

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Burnbake comprises of 22 luxury forest lodges with hot tubs and camping pitches. Camping: The campsite is a very traditional family orientated campsite, an ethos we have strived for since opening in 1975. We are a turn up and pitch site for tents and campervans. I am afraid we are NOT able to take caravans. We have a wide selection of flat level pitches ranging from heavily shaded areas that are perfect for those hot sunny days to more open areas for those looking to make the most of the British sunshine. Facilities wise we have toilets and showers, a shop, small laundrette, small play area and a café open for peak times. We can cater for larger family groups on our events fields by prior arrangement. For pricing, bank holiday booking, and more information please see the campsite website. ... more   less
