This pub is very friendly and has a great atmosphere. It is a great place for a meal, the menu has a vast choice. The whole family enjoyed their meal. It is also good place to meet for drinks. A very popular place.

Stayed here this week and was treated to great food and real ale. Accommodation was very good - we had the family suite. Monty and staff all really friendly and welcoming. Happy to be creative with menu for picky children - excellent all round. We will definitely be back to eat there when we move to the area this summer!

While staying in the village we ate 3 times at the crown each time the food was very good. You need to book a table . The Sunday carvery was good value. The staff were helpful and polite. They do light bites which were just the right size .

The best Shepherds pie I have ever had. No mince, Chunks of tasty melt in the mouth lamb with a glossy rich gravy with mint sauce. Very friendly nothing too much trouble and very attentive. Definitely will be going there again.

Great village location loads of parking, superb food, all the staff were friendly and helpfulI. Our room had that 'wow' when we first walked in . Had the pie for lunch, and then the best steak I have had for a long time for dinner, breakfast could not be faulted. I wish I lived closer and could eat there all...

Having just agreed to buy a puppy, we were recommended this pub for lunch by the dog breeders. What a find! We arrived between sittings for the main Sunday roast, so chose from the main menu. The waitress was really pleasant and we spoke to the chef afterwards - ex Navy - so the food and ambience were really good....

My other half and I have been here quite a few times now! The food is always fantastic and great value for money... You will definitely leave satisfied and full! All of the staff are very helpful and welcoming, we tend to usually get served by the same very nice young lady (don't know her name) but she is consistently...

I stayed here a couple of years ago while working locally and found it to be quite good, so I was back this week but we weren't residents. We had lunch here on three occasions, it was brilliant, a great choice of lovely food served by two very pleasant waitresses. We had to work late the one evening so two...

Top quality food at very reasonable prices too. Our visit was a delight and what a pleasure to have the ordering process explained clearly upon arrival rather the being left to flounder as is often the case in pubs. The staff were attentive without being pushy. We visited on a quiet Monday lunchtime but will be returning very soon for...
