A first visit to this pretty country pub/ restaurant on Good Friday. A large choice on the menu . I had the sea bass which was very enjoyable. Other guests had traditional Fish & Chips which I understand was excellent. We had to wait a while for our food but I believe it assured us that all was cooked freshly....

A lovely looking pub both from the outside and inside with a lovely real fire burning on a cold day and the couple running the place were lovely. It was clean, well laid out and the service was good but the food was ordinary and lacked flavour. We had been excited over the choice on the menu so the disappointment...

Found this place via Trip Advisor as it was convenient to where we were going but were thrilled with the result! Varied menu, great food, host could not have been more helpful and the building had been improved to a very good standard. Nice to have locals in the bar and a good fire (it was really cold outside).

Visited The Ship for lunch on many occasions with my in-laws, Jean and Monte, and have never been disappointed. The food has always been excellent, with a varied menu, great real ales and very friendly service. Love it!!

Arranged for a large party to go for Sunday lunch and it was so very good that four of us went back Monday evening. Lovely restaurant, friendly staff, a great menu and a good range of beers and wines. Everything that you could wish for. If you are in the area just go there, and enjoy it.

Have just visited for a meal with my mother and can quite happily say we will definitely be returning! My mum had the fillet steak and it was cooked to perfection and huge! She couldn't even finish it. I had the belly pork which was super tasty and full of flavour with excellent presentation. The staff are excellent and very...

My husband and I, in need of a break, booked in for a 4 day stay last week. We had dined at the restaurant before and been impressed with it. What a delight Gavin (landlord/owner/helmsman of The Ship) and his staff are. Nothing is too much trouble and their genuine warmth and friendliness are contagious. We ate there most evenings...

This inn was a delightful choice for a Saturday evening. The venue was clean and very well presented. All members of staff were friendly. There was a really nice selection on the menu. We all had three courses and all were presented well and tasty. I'd highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
